Amies POV
I should let go but I don't want to. His chest felt warm up against mine. I didn't want it to end but I pulled away while thanking him for saving me. "My names Amie." I said while moving away and sitting on the ground. "So what did we do now?" I said. He looked up. So I followed his eyes. I saw a vent that connected to the roof. "But won't there be people on the roof. Like bad guys." I said while looking back down at him.
"Probably, but that's why I'm here." He replied. We sat there in silence for what felt like hours. The day turned into night and I could here the sounds of sirens. As I was about to say something Corey stood up and opens the vent quietly. He gestured to me to get up. As we climbed through the tunnel that smelt dead rats I could fantly hear the sounds of cries out for help. Corey stop dead in his tracks.
POV switch
There are going to be hundreds of men out there and there is no way one of us is getting out alive I thought to myself while peeking the a gap in the wall. As we reached the top of the tunnel I heard gun fires form the other side of the park. "The army is here. There on our side." I said as quietly as possible.
"Ok soo how are we getting out of here?" She replied.
"Just follow me!" I said. I peeked through the top and saw two men guarding. Just the right number I can get some guns and amo.
POV switch
He's not going out there is he. "Please don't leave me!" I whispered in his ear.
"From now on we will stick together." He whispered back in my ear. The sight of him going on that roof was impossible to watch so I turned around. I heard 2 gun fires and then a hand touch my shoulder. I jolted back and screamed inside.
"Come on!" A voice said and as I turned around a sigh of relief came out. There standing in the light of the tunnel was Corey. The light shining on him made him look like and angel. I grabbed his hand and he pulled me up the cool air of the night blew against my back. He pulled me close and we ducked down.
POV switch
I will take her to my hide out there we will rest for the night. "It's not safe here I will take you to me hide out." I said in a soft calming tone.
"Ok." She replied and we ran into the dark of the night together.
