Finding the winners was not an easy task. There were 3 winners from the batch of copycat killing sprees that took inspiration from the original game ran by Jacqueline. This game had spawned a group of copycat killers to run their own games. Grace, the killer of the most recent game, had warned Giles about the impending "final game" that the founder of this group of killers would be participating in. Finding out the identity of the person who had caused Giles so much suffering and caused him to witness so much death was too good for him to pass on, so Giles took Grace's advice on finding the small group of winners.
Understandably, none of these people were too thrilled to see Giles after the events they individually went through. Chantal changed her name to Trisha in an desperate attempt to get away from her past, so when she saw Giles for the first time in years since the events of Heaven Honour Resort, she was obviously unhappy. Giles hadn't expected a warm reception either since Chantal, or Trisha, reached out to him asking that he never contact her again. Giles followed her around until eventually she gave up trying to avoid him.
"What are you doing?" Trisha hissed, face red from trying to avoid him. "I told you not to contact me!"
"I apologize, Chantal." Giles said. "I have news that you might like to hear."
"It's Trisha now." Trisha said. "If this news has anything to do with Grace, or about what happened at the resort then I really don't want to hear it."
"Please, just hear me out." Giles sighed. "There's going to be one last game happening in Florida. Grace told me that the creator of this group of killers, the people who were behind not only your game, but 4 others as well, will be hosting one final game."
"You've been in contact with that psychotic bitch?!" Trisha said incredulously. "Why in the world would you want to speak with her after what she did?"
"It's complicated, I received a letter from her asking to talk." Giles said. "I wanted to ignore it, I really did, but I knew that she had something important to say."
"Okay, but why are you telling me this? I've tried so hard to put all of this in the past, like you should be doing as well." Trisha said, avoiding eye contact with Giles.
"We could do something to stop this, save the lives of more innocent people!" Giles said, trying to reason with Trisha. "Please, Trisha."
"Look, Giles, I have a husband and children now. I'm not the same person I was back then. I finally have my normal life back." Trisha threw her hands up in the air. "I have no interest in putting myself through any of this again, I'm sorry but I can't help you."
"Are you really going to pass on an opportunity to find out who was behind all of this? The person who's really responsible for not only Brett's death, but 10 other?" Giles said in a desperate attempt to get her on board.
Trisha froze at the mention of Brett. Memories of her experiences with Brett ran through her mind, bringing tears to her eyes.
Giles felt bad for bringing Brett up, remembering how close the two were on the resort.
"I'm sorry-" Giles started to say before being interrupted by Trisha.
"Get away from me!" Trisha yelled. "Don't ever bring him up. What happened on that resort stays at that resort. My final answer is no, so leave me the fuck alone." With that said, Trisha stormed off.
Giles watched her walk away in silence. There was nothing he could do to try and change her mind, so all he could do now was move on to the Kam. Reynold was out of the question because people still thought he was a killer, so that left the second ever winner of the killing games.
Giles had little success in talking with Kam either. The successful attorney simply laughed Giles off. After pleading his case, Kam simply told Giles that he couldn't help him out, and that he was out of luck.
"Sorry buddy. It was nice of you to stop by, but I don't have anything for you." Kam said. "It was good seeing you again, I wish you the best of luck in the future."
Giles arrived back home in London, exhausted from the past two days spent trying to find the winners. He had tried his best but sadly he wasn't able to convince any of them to help him out. Unsure of what to do next, Giles laid in his bed before he heard a knock on his door.
"I'm looking for a 'Giles'?" said a delivery boy that stood outside the door.
"Yes, that's me." Giles said. "Can I do anything for you?"
"I have a package for you." said the delivery boy. "I just need you to sign for it and I'll be on my way."
Giles hadn't ordered a package, but he was pretty sure he knew what this was about. Despite the sinking feeling he had in his stomach, Giles signed for the package and took it in his house.
"Dear Giles,
I'm sure you already have an idea of what this is about. This is something you're accustomed to, and it will be the last time this happens. I am hosting one last game of Whodunnit?, but this time I am the killer. You will be hosting this one, just like the others. This game will be grander than all the others, as is expected of a final game. Just like the others, you will be paid for your obedience and hard work.
I have attached 14 dossiers for each of the guests that will be participating in this game, including myself. They are under the impression that they have been casted for a 'murder mystery' movie. You are not to tell them otherwise, they will find out on their own that there is more to this than a simple movie.
I suggest you get to the airport now, you have a flight to Florida to catch. You don't need anything to take with you aside from clothing. Your flight has already been paid for by yours truly, and a limo awaits you outside of your house, and a limo will await you from the airport to take you to the site where this game will be held. I expect nothing but success from you, and you know what will happen if you fail.
Sincerely,
Your Killer."
"Oh god, it's happening again." Giles said aloud, not expecting to have to host again.
Not wanting to risk his life by not making the flight, Giles packed his things and entered the limo.
The games are about to begin for the final time.
