"Michael, where're we going?" Ember laughed as Michael pulled her along.
"Somewhere, trust me!" Michael shouted behind his shoulder. Ember laughed again. Michael loved her laugh. It was like music to his ears.
Ember and Michael had been together for about 2 years and Michael wanted to take her out tonight. He wanted her to know how special she was to him.
Since Michael sometimes had trouble showing his emotions outwardly. He had spent weeks planning this night out. Beginning to end, he knew it would be special.
"You know I don't like surprises!" Ember smiled at him as she climbed into the passenger seat of his car.
"I know, that's why this is one." Michael responded. Ember sighed, knowing she wouldn't be able to get the answer out of him. A hint or two maybe, but not a full answer.
"I can't even have a hint?" Ember pouted as they drove away from the apartment they shared. Which was occupied by them and a calico cat.
"Maybe just one." Michael shrugged and he smiled when he saw Embers pale green eyes sparkle at bit.
"What is it?" Ember looked towards him. Michael turned back to look at her when the reached a stop light.
"This will be the best night of your entire life." Michael promised, with a serious look in his eye. Ember blinked a few times and she knew when he promised something, he never backed out.
