Walking back to the bedroom after the shocking discovery, I climbed into bed and looked at Betty who was lying on her side facing the opposite side of me. I just watched her, waiting her to break her fake sleep and peek over at me. "Peter what?" She asked hurriedly, spinning around to face me. "Um, shouldn't I be asking you the same thing?" I asked as well.

She climbed over to me and flicked the door closed. She latched herself to my lap, facing me. "I think I'm pregnant." She said. My eyes bugged. "Well yes, I know. But why wouldn't you tell me?"
She never lost the lock on my eyes. "I think I'm pregnant." She said as it it had a deeper meaning. Shaking my head in confusion, she huffed. "Peter. This baby. I think I know how many powers he's gonna have."

I put my arms in the air. "Whoa, whoa, whoa. He?" She rolled her eyes. "Yes dimwit. He. I'm having a boy." My eyes got wider. "We're having him?" Now it was her time for her eyes to bug. "Yes, Peter. I would very much like to. Is that an issue?" I shook my head. "No. Anyways, what were you saying?" I asked, crossing my arms across my stomach. "I think I know his powers."
I raised my eyebrows. "You mean, which ones he's gonna have."
She nodded. "I believe... I think he's gonna be like you," she said, leaning forward and putting her forehead on mine. I smiled with my eyes closed. "Really?" I asked. She nodded and closed her eyes. Within seconds her body was limp. I gently lifted her and laid her down.

We feel asleep like that.

The next morning, the sun was shining brightly and the bird were chirping. And a five year old was sitting on my face. "Azelia!" I scoffed, pushing her off of me. When I looked up, Betty was holding Azelia in her lap giggling. The light of the sun lightened the room and made the room 10 times more beautiful.

Reaching my arms out for Azelia, I held my daughter. She had a head full of short blond hair just like Betty's. She had red plump lips. She smiled a gap toothed grin at me. "Hey princess. What're we gonna do today?"
She shrugged.
I looked up at Betty.

"We should take her to see Mom. She's been calling me about this little monster all week." Azelia stuck out her tongue at Betty. Betty stuck it right back out at her. "Whatever you little monster. Go get dressed." Betty pointed to the door. Not before complaining and whining about how she was only "this many," Azelia shuffled out the door. Betty scooted over and wrapped her arms around my neck. "Hi Betty Boop." I said, kissing her. She smiled in between the kiss. "Peter Beter," she said. "Hey, you thought you weren't included in on the dressing process?" She asked un-latching. I grabbed her arms and put them back to in which she laughed.

"A little longer?" I pleaded. She shook her head. "Uh uh. Up, up, up. Now." I groaned and crossed the room to put on pants.

She smiled and chuckled to herself, rolling off the bed and into the kitchen. Half dressed, I chased after her. Hugging her from the back, I buried my head into her neck. She moaned and kissed my cheek. She looked down at my bare chest and pointed a finger at me. Peter Thomas Parker go get dressed right now." I shook my head. "You're not getting dressed."

She shrugged. "I'm mama. I work on my own schedule, Parker." Rolling my eyes at the mention of my last name, I went to get dressed. 5 minutes later, I walked into the kitchen. Betty still wasn't dressed but she was serving Azelia cereal. "Mommy I'm not hungry!"

Betty shrugged, her blond hair getting into her eyes. I thought back to when we first met. How her eyes were sunken close into their sockets and bruises lined her arms. How broken she looked in her Southside Serpents jacket shuffling along the sidewalk.

"Well I'm not dressed," she said bluntly. "That doesn't even make sense mommy!" Betty kissed Azelia on the nose. "Z. If you don't eat breakfast now, you'll be starving in 20 minutes. And I don't feel like being dragged into here to make you breakfast."

She glanced down at Azelia's bowl full of cereal. "Also, it's bad to waste food. People are starving." Azelia wrinkled her nose. "But mama-"
Betty glared down at Azelia. "Eat your food Parker." Azelia frowned. "Aren't you a Parker too?"

Betty shook her head. "No. I kept my birth last name." She thought for a moment. "Stop stalling."

Azelia looked up at her innocently. "What does stalling mean?"
Betty rolled her eyes. "Oh you know. You're a very smart girl Z."
Azelia looked back at me. "Yeah well howdoyouknow?"
Betty laughed and tapped Azelia's head. "You realize, I know what goes on in that crazy little head of yours."

Azelia hugged Betty and got to eating. I smiled and walked into the room.

How adorable I thought.
Azelia looked up at me. "I know." She teased and my eyes bugged. Betty looked away with embarrassment. "What?" I asked, taking so seat. She giggled. "I hear your head daddy!" She giggled again. Betty looked up with with fear. My blood boiled and steamed. I grabbed Betty's arm. "Let's talk." I said.

Dragging her back into the room I threw her onto the bed and shut the door. Her eyes were wide and her wrist where I grabbed her was red. She gripped it with her other arm. "Peter--"
I put a halting hand up. "Don't you think it would be nice for me to know if my 3 year old can read minds? What if she has more powers then that? Do you know how much goes on in my head?" I yelled. Betty's fearful expression had suppressed to anger. If there was anything about Elizabeth Cooper, she was fierce. I may of startled her, but I didn't faze her for long. Still grabbing her wrist she glared at me. "I'm sorry."

I shook my head. "Betts."
She looked away. When she looked back, tears filled her eyes. "She's like me Peter." She sniffed. "She's just like me. She talks like me. She had powers like me. She looks like me. That's scary. It scares me. And knowing you, you'll encourage it. And encourage her to save lives. Finish where we left off. But Peter... I can't have another me running around. I'm not a role model. I'm just a mother."

The room silenced. Suddenly she started bawling and grabbing her stomachs. Water trickled down her leg. She looked down. "How...?"
Betty doubled over in pain. Shooting the phone, my phone clung to my ear as I calmed Betty. "Yeah uh Aunt May could you come and watch Azelia for us? Somethings wrong."
"Yeah Peter of course but, what's going on? Is everything alright?"
"No. Betty's going into some type of weird labor."
I heard a gasp from Aunt May's side of the phone and the line go dead. Betty screamed again and Azelia's head peeked. "Go to your room baby girl. Everything's gonna be okay. It's fine."
Azelia's gaze never left Betty. "Mommy. You're having the baby now?" Betty nodded and screamed again.

Preparing Betty to go off the the hospital, I yelled at Azelia to go to her room. 2 minutes after Azelia ignored me, Betty thrust out a hand, and a swirl of purple engulfed Azelia. Betty looked at me and smiled. "I sent her to her room."

I shrugged. I heard the door open and Aunt May shuffle in. She ran right in taking in the scene. Thanking her, Betty teleported us to the hospital.
