Chapter 4: falling for eachother

Amies POV
Another long night was rolling by. As the fire was burning and Corey was asleep but I couldn't bare to fall asleep not after what happened. As I stared into the night sky I heard a rustle in the bushes. I stayed frozen hoping it wasn't anyone trying to harm me. I grabbed a stick and was about to swing it when caidy jumped out in front of it. "What are you doing and how did you escape!" I exclaimed to her.
"I hid in my closet dorm! And please put down the stick you almost hit me!" She said in a frightened tone.
"Oh yeah sorry." I said while putting down the stick.
"How did you escape?" She replied. I pointed to Corey and then looked at her reaction. "But wasn't he the guy that shot the other guy?"
"Yes but he said he wasn't going to kill me because he was one of the terrorists he would have killed me by now!" I replied.
"Ohh ok cause that makes every thing better!" She said in a sarcastic tone.  All of a sudden Corey awoke with a fright.
"It's ok she my friend remember. Caidy!" I calmed him down.
"Oh ok." He replied
"Anyways I got to get back to my family there over there." Caidy said while pointing to the bushes.
"Ok let's go to them!" I said but while I was getting up Corey pulled me back down.
"I see lights over there! There are people coming and I don't think the nice ones. All of a sudden we heard a scream and two shots. We looked back over to see Caidy's mum and dad flop to the ground. The panic button turned on and all of us ran as fast as we could. All three of us were dodging trees and house and finally made it to the Main Street. We stopped to catch our breath and Caidy was crying. I went over to comfort her and Corey made sure no one saw us. "It's ok every things going to be ok." I assured her. We stayed there for a minute then kept moving. While moving through houses we heard people screaming and sirens still going. "We have to get a car." Corey said "I'll drive us out of the city!" Corey offered. While we were standing there we heard a walky talky coming our way. Corey looked around the corner and saw a guy coming straight towards us. When he came around the corner the started fighting. My heart was pounding again even harder this time. I was soo scared that I didn't notice I had been shot in the leg. When Corey stopped fighting he turned around to see caidy holding my collapsed body "AGHH!" He shrieked and grabbed me and laid me down. I looked up at him when I regained strength and said in a weak voice "I don't want to go don't leave me!"
