You began to walk through the halls. Though you were very anxious and scared to walk by yourself. Out of nowhere, you heard a horrifying female scream. You were startled and ran towards the elevator. As you stepped in, you pressed the 'ground floor' button.
"3rd floor please" A voice of a girl spoke to you.
"Oh, of course" You reached for the button, not quesioning who was asking you. Your politeness just kicked in. You felt some what calm at that moment but realisation kicked in. You soon then realized that a ghost was talking you. Your hands started to shake as you froze in place. You saw the girl press the button with her extended arms. You turned around to see a girl stuck on the ceiling of the elevator.
The ghost was a mere teenager. She was not hanging from the ceilling but rather had her back pressed agaisnt it. Her pale sking and dark circles made her look like a nightmare.
You reached for the button that would open the elevator's doors. You pressed it repeatedly until they opened. The doors opened after what is seemed like an eternity for you. You sprinted through the halls and back to Jennie's office. You barged in and started to shout at Jennie.
"Why can I still see them?!" You demanded for an answer. "I gave you all of my money so that I wouldn't see these ghosts anymore!" You shouted.
"You only paid what you owed" Jennie put down her tea cup. "Your special eye is your birthday gift" Jennie said.
"Are you for real?!" You panicked. "How am I supposed to live my life when I cane see those horrifying things?!" You pointed behind her.
"Well, I guess you have to work here now" Jennie made a sad face, mocking you.
"Turn my eyes back!" You demanded and pointed at your eyes. Jennie stood up with her purse.
"I'm going out. Wanna come?" She asked you. She didn't get a reply as you were too busy breathing heavily and trying to suppress your anger. "No? Okay, I'll go by myself then" Jennie started to walk away.
"We will finish this conversation....once we are out of here" You said and walked behind Jennie closely as you were afraid of the ghosts in the hotel. Jennie was starting to get irritated by you presence behind her as the reached the hotel's garage. Jennie looked at the cars in the parking lot.
"I'll use this one today" She said and unlocked the black BMW 8 series(I love that car). You just stared in surprise. Jennie tossed the car keys to you and hopped inside the car. You only followed.
The drive was quiet. It was very unsual as Jennie was a talkative person. You then decided to start a conversation.
"Do you own all of those cars?" You asked Jennie as you drove.
"What? Do you think the ghosts drives their way to the hotel after they died?" Jennie smirked.
"Your hotel must earn a lot of money to buy these fancy cars" You said and focused on the road. "How do you even earn money from the dead?" You curiously asked.
"You seem to be more interested on the finance of the hotel. I should have showed you my cars instead of the ghosts" Jennie laughed.
"No thanks" You replied. You looked over to Jennie and laughed.
"What's so funny?" Jennie asked.
"Even though you are a ghost, you still wear a seatbelt" You smiled. "By the way, after I drive you to the place you wanted to visit, turn my eyes back to normal" You demanded again. Jennie rolled her eyes and smiled. "Where are we even going?" She aksed; her eyes focused on the road.
"To catch a tiger" Jennie asnwered but all you did was laugh at her.
"Good one" You said, still laughing.
"Aha ha ha" Jennie laughed sarcastically. You looked at Jennie and her smile faded. You then realised that she was not messing about.
"Well shit" You sighed.
After what seemed to be a long drive, you and Jennie arrived at a museum. Although you were a little confused. 'I thought we were going to catch a tiger?' You thought. Not knowing was going on, you simply followed Jennie around the museum. Jennie looked so eager to find something. ' Why are we even at a museum?' You asked yourself again. Why would a tiger be in a museum? The answer? Who knows. Your mind was somewhere else but was disturbed by Jennie.
"Found it" Jennie informed. You looked at Jennie then the statue of a tiger that was infront of them.
"This was the last Baekdu tiger isn't it? I heard that it was a gift from North Korea. They say that the tiger never got along with the others. The tiger was alone till it died" Your voice softened at the last sentence. "Can a tiger really stay at your hotel?" You asked.
"It's a mystical creature so yes" Jennie answered without even looking at you.
There was silence for a while. You noticed the sad expression on Jennie's face. You've never seen her like that before nor didn't you know what to do.
"The tiger's dead, yet they made it look like it's still alive" There was sadness in Jennie's voice.
'I'm not alive nor dead. I'm just here' , those words circled your head. You realized that Jennie is some what similar to the tiger. You felt pity for the poor girl.
'Oh how lonely you must have been all those years...' , You thought when you looked at Jennie.
To be continued...
