Chapter 28

After the movie finishes they come out and sit in the car leaving from there. Naina becomes curious of where they are going next but Sameer is smirking at her. She kisses him on the cheek tightly which makes him giggle.

Naina: Sameer batow na hum kaha jaarahe hai?

Sameer: Tum cabinet kholo sab pata chal jaygha

Naina opens it and sees a white swimming costume which is backless. Her eyes become wide when they stop at a beach. She asks Sameer where they are going to change and he says in the backseat. She goes and gets changed whilst Sameer is looking at her through the mirror. Both of them come out and Sameer tells her that this is a private beach and that no one can come here.

Naina: Muhjhe sandcastle banana hai aur phir hum apne naam bhi draw karenghe.

Sameer agrees to it and they start collecting shells and seaweed. There are a few buckets and spades in the rights and they start filling it up. Naina turns it over, taps it and lifts it up clapping her hands. Sameer sees how innocent Naina can be. He lifts her up and carries her towards the sea. Naina tells him to let go and he actually does that. She is now underwater and comes back up again moving her hair backwards. She starts to dance seductively by calling Sameer over. He decides to join her but then she splashes water on him.

Sameer: Bahaut mazaa araha tumhe?

Naina starts swimming forward whilst Sameer goes behind her. He pulls her by the foot which makes her crash into him. Naina's heartbeat starts racing whilst he back hugs her and whispers something in her ear which makes her shocked.

Sameer: If you were wearing a bikini I would have pulled the string.

She begins to blush and turns around just looking at him. He has become more shameless than she has. Naina moves away from there feeling shy.

Naina: Why am I feeling shy, Naina is never shy?

Naina goes back to Sameer and smiles at him. She pushes him and runs away from there. Naina twirls around in excitement. It has become dark and they are off to thier last surprise. Out of nowhere Naina recites a poem.

Naina: Sab haste they uss lardki pe
Ki tum atchi nahi dikthi
Tumhe baat karna nahi aata

Roz roti thi wo aur putchi thi aaine se
Sab haste they muj par, tum kyun nahi

Jawaab aaya, jo haste hai tum par
Unhone kabhi khud aaina atche say dehka hai nahi
Dehka hota tou jaan jate kis par hasna hai
Khud par ya tum par

Has padi wo lardki aaina ka jawaab sun kar

Sameer understands the actual meaning and depth of the poem. He remembers that he also used to laugh at her in the first year, now he realises how much pain she was in, but not once did she complain about it. He stops the car and she gets out walking away from him. She has a few tears rolling down from her eyes.

Sameer: Naina dehko meri taraaf, I'm extremely sorry and I feel ashamed of how I use to laugh at you.

Naina: Tumhari ek sorry kaafi nahi hai mere liye. I used to get teased and humiliated every day but only I know how much pain I was in. You weren't there to comfort me, only Preeti and Swati were there. You know how hard it was to sleep at night without making a noise. I was living but slowly dying every single second. That poem that I wrote it is very dear to me and no one knows about that until I told you today.

You see this girl in front of you, her life was amazing and simple, when she came to college she had no idea something like this would happen, you all completely ripped her apart of how she used to be, that girl was broken inside and never believed in love or trust again. Then I didn't give a damn about anyone after that. It's ironic how you fell in love with me and gave me all of this.

Sameer wipes her tears and starts crying of how he or anyone else in college destroyed her of how she used to be like. For some reason she is getting peace from all of this, she really wanted someone to feel her pain.

Naina: Mein bahaut khush hoon ajj, maine kisi ko rulaya hai, tum toh ronelage bas ek he daffa mein toh sotch maine kaise bardaash kiya for two and a half years. Itna assaan nahi hai dard chupana, because everyone has thier breaking points. Mera happy moments jo mein chati thi college mein sab nay cheen liya tha. Issiliye mein depression may chali gayi thi. I lost interest in everything and no one could help me, I got trapped into darkness and there was no light. Then in my dreams god was calling me towards him to tell me that believe and trust in me when you have no one around to say anything, I will always listen to you. Since that day I felt like I have a purpose in life, and soon everything changed for me.

Sameer: Aur tumhara change kisnay laaya?

Naina: Jo samne kara hai wo meri zindagi mein sab kuch badal diya hai. Kabhi kabaar burai mein atchai nazaar aati hai par hum tora waqt lay latey hai usse pehchane mein. Happy 6 months Anneverssary Sameer.
