The same smell still wafted in the rooms of the home. I closed my eyes and gripped Specner's hand. "Sierra?"

I turned to the lady sitting behind the desk. She had dark roots and blonde hair that was curled and green eyes that were shining. I stepped up to the desk and pulled Spencer lightly behind me. He wrapped his arm around my waist carefully, which made me smile at his sweetness.

"Hey Maria. I'm here to see Eliza Daniels." She nodded and stood. "I'll go find her for you. You can have a seat in one of those chairs."

I nodded and she began to walk towards the doors. I sighed and adjusted my blue tunic and brushed off my black skinny jeans. I was nervous. I kept wondering how she was going to be today. I don't know, maybe she'd cry again and freak out about how I didn't see her sooner or how I never told her about my boyfriend. Wait a minute...was I allowed to call him my boyfriend? I mean, sure, he asked me, but it still felt odd calling Spencer that.

"You're nervous." I jumped at the sound of Spencer's voice and I covered my mouth to soften the squeak that came out of it.

He chuckled and I tapped his chest lightly with my hand. "You are so mean! Don't scare me like that!"

He looked down at me and brushed my hair behind my ear with his fingers. "That just proves that you are tense."

Sighing, I sat down on the two-seater chair and rubbed my forehead.

"I just don't know how she is going to act today." I said.

As Spencer was about to reply, Maria walked back it. "She is in the courtyard."

Here goes nothing...literally.

"Mom?" I called softly.

My mother, Eliza, was sitting in her wheelchair with a book in he grasp. Her light brown hair floated around her face as the wind blew softly. I smiled and teared up a little bit. Spencer stood behind me and rubbed my back.

Her green eyes lifted and stare into my brown ones. I smiled and she dropped her book. "Oh my God..." She whispered.

I knelt in front of her and she reached for my face with her shaky hands. "S-Sierra?"

I smiled at her. "Yeah. It's me mom. I'm so sorry for hurting you for nine years. I wish I could have come sooner."

She threw her arms around me and sobbed.

"I thought you were dead!"

I hugged her and cried softly. "I was never dead. It's just how you decided to remember it."

My mom leaned back, quickly dried her eyes and said, "How are you?" I smiled and said, "I've never been better. I want you to meet someone though."

I turned to Spencer, still on my knees and said, "This is Doctor Spencer Reid." He smiled and held out his hand. "Hello Mrs. Daniels." She laughed lightly and pulled him for a hug.

"Thank you, Doctor Reid, for taking care of my daughter." She released him and looked to me. "So, is he your boyfriend?"

I blushed and stuttered. "W-Well, yes. H-He is." Mom cocked her head to the side and asked, "But he's a doctor, isn't he a little old for you?" I blushed and became flustered. "Sp-Spencer graduated when he w-was twelve and he's only a f-few years older than me!"

She smiled and looked relieved. "That's good. Now, Doctor, where do you work."

He replied smoothly, "I work as a profiler for the Behavioral Analysis Unit over in Quantico for the FBI. We-"

She held up her hand and said, "I know what a profiler is darling. Now, how did you meet my daughter?"

I answered slowly. "Well, there was a man who found me, Agent Jason Gideon. You two became friends and he ended up acting as a...father to me. They worked on the same team, and when Jason left, he asked Spencer and I to meet each other about six months ago." She nodded and said, "I remember Jason."

My eyes widened and I glanced at Spencer. "Y-You do?" I asked honestly.

She nodded. "Yes, he agreed to find you. And I suppose he did?" I gulped once more and nodded.

She smiled and looked into the sky.

"He was a great man with a terrible loss."
