P.O.V OF TAMMY-
*hmmm....gotta find a good place to...oh! There she is!*
"Hey, Tammy! Come sit with us!"
It was the first day of college, and I was a nerve wreck. Let me introduce myself. Tammy, 17, pretty average student with okay grades to please the parents, and comfortably awkward.
As I was saying, I had pretty much slagged on the "social life" bit in school, and I had to prove to myself and my best friends I could..well, have friends.
"This is Lindsey...Lindsey, Tammy. Did you know she was in NCC for awhile?" My friend Meaghan asked me.
"What's that?" I asked, my usual stupidity coming up.
"This army training shit. Pretty cool, eh?" Meaghan said, elbowing Lindsey.
"Believe me, you do NOT wanna get into that. I'm so glad I got out this year..."
As she continued talking about how much she hated it, I looked around. Eh, a pretty decent crowd. Guess I could stick around for two years.
Our teacher came in, and introduced herself. She then asked us to do the silly childish act of standing up and talking about oneself.
I stood up and felt my anxiety kicking up. You can do it. It's no big deal.
Mine was simple: "I'm Tammy, from Brokewood High, I like singing."
"I'm Natasha, I'm from Ravenswood High, and I play the drums."
My gaze turned immediately towards her. Drums? That's new. I suddenly realised my friend had told me about her, she knew her since school.
I checked her out. Smart looking, a pretty sexy smirk, and voice like that of an angel's.
What the f***? You are straight.
I ignored those thoughts, and during our break, went up to her and said hi.
