My face paled upon hearing the announcement from my mother. He had gone missing.**
5 days earlier, Saturday, August 13, 2019"Wake up sunshine!"
My precious slumber was disrupted by my best friend, Audrey, yelling in my ear.
"Was that really necessary? You could have chosen a less loud way to wake me up." I said, completely awake now. She shrugged and walked into my closet.
"What are you doing?" I asked, walking in behind her.
"I'm finding you an outfit!" She answered, going through my clothes. "We're going out. Perfect!" She said handing me an outfit and pushing me into the bathroom. "Take a shower and change."
"Ok mom!" I said sarcastically. After taking a shower I put on the outfit she gave me.
"Where are we going?" I asked her as I walked out.
"A party. You look good Hayley!" She said standing up and jumping up and down. "You're totally going to get a guy in this."
"Wait, we're going to a party in the morning?"
She looked at me like I was stupid and pointed at the clock on my wall. It was already 9:40pm.
"But I just woke up." I said, still confused.
"You fell asleep while we were watching a movie."
"Oh."
We walked downstairs quietly trying not to get caught by my brother. All was going well until I crashed into someone. Speak of the devil.
"Where are you two going?" My older brother, James, asked.
I rolled my eyes and tried to walk past him but he stepped in front of me and I crashed into him again. "Will you stop that!?" He gave me a look as if to say, I'm waiting... "We're going to a party. You can come if it'll make you feel better about me being safe or whatever."
**We arrived at the party at 9:50. All we had to do was drive around to the other side of the neighborhood. I hadn't asked who's party we were going to, but when I saw the house it was obvious.
I stared at the mansion that seemed to be completely made of glass. It was beautiful and must have been really expensive.
Suddenly, a girl ran outside squealing very annoyingly. She ran up to my brother and jumped on him. My brother looked at me with a look that clearly showed he was uncomfortable. When the girl finally let go of him she opened her mouth to speak.
