(Michael is not mentioned.)

Aisha exited the club in a huff.

The rush of cold air made her unsteady on her feet. She really should not have had that fourth martini. She closed her eyes and drew in a slow breath and tried to collect herself.

The parking lot was deserted, not another person in sight. This was not particularly surprising. After all, it was one o'clock in the morning and everybody who was still awake was inside partying. She stamped her foot against the ground and let out a frustrated whimper.

Why did she have to be so difficult? Aisha had only wanted a nice night out with her lover. Was that so much to ask? She didn't think so, and after she had gone through all the trouble of putting together a nice outfit for her, that woman had shown up in her work uniform! Aisha found it incredibly insulting, especially considering all the effort she had put into making her those clothes. Not to mention the vest made her look unkempt and there was nothing she hated more than untidiness.

Behind her, Aisha heard the crunch of gravel beneath feet. She fixed her face with her best pout as she turned to face her girlfriend, "Well, well. Have you come to apologize?" her voice died in her throat when she realized the person she was looking at was not the one she knew and loved.

Aisha found herself face-to-face with a shadowy figure. The (what she assumed to be a man) was dressed in black from head-to-toe and in the dim light of the lot. "Who are you?" she asked, trying to keep the fear from her voice. She began to back away slowly, but the gravel combined with the alcohol in her system made it difficult for her to gain steady footing.

She gulped. Suddenly, the man pulled a small device out of his pocket and pressed it to her side. She staggered backward. Electricity crackled in her ears and a searing current hit her. Her body stiffened involuntarily and tears sprang to her eyes. Her body convulsed violently before she collapsed to the ground in a heap.

Everything went black.
