Cold rain patterned on Seth's feet as he laid down on the rock hard concrete. Seth felt no hope in his life anymore. He was a lifeless slug on the side of the street, just waiting for something, anything to happen. People trudged past without a care in the world, not noticing the state of despair he was in. All of a sudden, a cat walked out of the bush to the right of him, and started waddling over to Seth. The cat, ginger and wet, nudged against Seth, as if the cat had a connection to him. Seth patted the cat, pleasing it. The cat then sat on Seth's lap and purred softly. Seth stayed with the cat overnight, scavenging for any food he could find for the cat. The next day, the same black limousine pulled up to the curb beside Seth. A man hopped out, in all black, and asked "Seth?"
