-Tyreana Edge and Jet Lee were at his parent's house eating dinner with them-
*Jet's mother made an amazing Japanese dinner that included ramen, dumplings and mixed vegetables. * Tyreana were using chopsticks for her noodles, she chews and admires it*
"Wow Mrs. Lee this meal is delicious! Five stars!'' She says smiling at her* *Mrs. Lee only gives her a look, a look that made her nervous*
"I only boiled noodles in hot water and seasoned it" she says pinching a piece of bread *
*Tyreana notices her tone of response and stops talking for a while*
*Jet grabs her hand from underneath the table and gently squeezes it* * Jet's father spoke* "So, you're thinking of studying psychology here in Tokyo?" *Tyreana was happy to answer because she wanted to get her mind off Mrs. Lee attitude* she nods her head*
"Yes, I really find the human's mindset really fascinating and knowing the body language" *he nods his head* "You know, I was also studying psychology myself and thought it was quite fascinating too" *Tyreana eyes brightens* "Oh really? What made you stop?" she asks with curiosity.
*Mr. Lee's eyes shifted to his wife* "well when I met Shane...psychology didn't fascinate me anymore" Mrs. Lee looks at him sweetly and smiles a bit*
Tyreana never has seen her smile before or well, around her. "She must've been an amazing person for you to stop studying psychology," says Tyreana
*Mrs. Lee frowns a bit* "I never intended him to stop studying, he was a fool to do such a thing". Mr. Lee only smiles a little* "Then I'm a fool" *Mrs. Lee's eyes shifted to her husband and stared at him, a stare that Tyreana couldn't make out* *There was silence for a moment while eating their dinner before Jet spoke the unexpected*
''So, anyhoo, me and Tyreana have been dating and I love her" he says. *All three of them were shocked, especially Tyreana because he said it so calm and inexpertly* Tyreana sides looks him and her eyes shifted to his mother* Mrs. Lee's eyes were wide with disbelief, but soon her pupils turned into slits and stared dead at her as if she could strangle her right now*
"Man, if looks could kill..." she says to herself. *Tyreana's heart starts pounding out her chest* Mrs. Lee stands up from the table, furious* ''LOVE HER?!?!" she says screeching* The sound of her voice like that gave Tyreana goosebumps all over. "Yes," Jet says so calmly. "You only have known her for a couple of months!!!" *Jet leans in a bit, staring at her stubborn mother* "So and?" he said.
*Mrs. Lee's face starts turning red* "You can't love someone if you only knew them months!!" *Jet sits back, clearly annoyed by his mother* "Yes I can, and I will, you can't keep me from doing so" *Mrs. Lee was about to explode before Mr. Lee spoke* "Shane, if Jet loves Ms. Tyreana, then let him be, you can't control his life anymore" he says looking at her. *Mrs. Lee mouth drops a bit, not wanting to believe what she just heard*
"Yoshi she's-* Mr. Lee puts up his hand, gesturing to stop talking * "It's his life, not yours, accept the fact that he's an adult now. You're not his decision-maker anymore! * Mrs. Lee stutters a bit but sealed her mouth shut*
*Jet nods his head in agreement* "Thanks father for understanding" he says standing up from the table* but as he fully straightens up, his mother burst out her anger*
"YOU!" she yells *she points her long slender index finger at Tyreana* "It's your fault! You showing up changed my son's life! He had a perfect life going till you welcome yourself here in Tokyo with your American ways and influences! Go back to where you came from!"
*Jet slams his fist on the wooden table* "what the hell?!?!" *Tyreana starts to feel small and just terrible* then she started thinking about what his mother said...about my influences towards him. *
