Just a trigger warning! The way I'm writing Pan and the lost boys at first in this book is going to be pretty brutal. They are boys who have been alone on an island for years. So they may be sexist. I am NOT sexist, but sometimes it makes the story more interesting to write it that way. I do not condom sexism. In fact, that's why I'm making my female lead quite the woman ;) just letting you know in advance this might have mature themes and lots of violence! I'll do a warning before anything serious starts. But now, enjoy the story! Give me feedback!
Games. Everything was a game to them. As long as they were having fun, nothing else mattered. They did what they wanted, no matter how dangerous. And this, this was the mentality of the lost boys. And that was how their leader trained them to be. Ruthless and reckless. They liked to have fun, no matter how dangerous it could be or who paid the price. But one day.... Pan and the boys reached an all new kind of darkness. They were bored, bored of the usual games they played in NeverLand. For they had been there for hundreds of years. And do, Peter Pan, the dark hearted demon himself decided that it was time for a new game. A dangerous game. A deadly game. A game that he could mastermind and control. One that would involved death and blood. The idea of all of it excited the teenager, it made his skin itch with power. If there was one thing he would do anything for, it was power. Power was the boy's undoing.
And in NeverLand, all the power was his.
He sent his shadow off with specific instructions. He wanted strong, clever, cunning teenagers to be brought to NeverLand. He did not want a vast amount of new lost boys, but he did want some. What better way than to have the teens he brought fight for it... fight for their place in the group, but also, fight for their life. Whoever was left alive by the eclipse would be made a lost boy and was treated as such, no longer a prisoner. All the sadistic lost boys agreed that they would like nothing more than to be a part of this 'game.'
So the shadow was sent out... and one by one he came back throughout the night with the teenage boys he stole from their beds. Fourteen boys had been left. As as the lost boys and Pan waited on the beach to take the last one back to their camp, Pan had a twing inside him. Something felt different. It was like a knot in his stomach suddenly. And when the shadow flew down to the beach and placed the last one on the beach, he found out why. A loud protest came from the lost boys as well as a grunt of anger from Pan.
"I said I wanted boys." He hissed at the shadow.
"You requested I bring you strong, clever, and cunning teenagers." The shadow replied in his eerie voice. "I have done what you asked. This girl will give you the show you want. Just give her the some chance as the others I brought." He added. He laid her on the beach and then flew away.
Pan and the lost boys stared at the girl for a while. They weren't sure what to do. Pan's first instinct was the fly her off his island himself, but he thought about what the shadow said and then began to smirk.
"Well... I think we should give her the chance, boys." He said. The boys began to protest again, but Pan held up his hand to stop them.
"After all. If she loses, she dies anyway. If she lives, she'll be stuck here with us for as long as we wish." He smirked. To that, the boy's didn't answer with words. A few of them chuckled, the rest just grinned. And the sleeping girl had idea what she was in for.Pan picked up the girl, carrying her back to the camp. He brought her to where the rest of the teenagers were, setting her down on the ground. The lost boys who had been guarding their game players looked shocked to see a girl. But they didn't dare argue with Pan.
