soft hours

3 am | A x H

Its a crisp fall night in California. The busy streets have quieted down. Everything is calm. After a long week of work, both Halen and Alex were purely exhausted. The couple had been overloaded with work for the past few days and both were rushing to get it done. They had spent pratically no together.

Currently, Halen had just got off work. He was greeted by their dog. Halen scanned the room, Alex was no where to be seen. Halen looked around their apartment. He looked in the kitchen, in their office, ect but still no sign of him.

After a bit, Halen opened their bedroom door. There, he saw the brunette tangled in blankets, fast asleep. Halen smiled a bit at the sight of his sleeping husband. He laid down by Alex, who immediately gravitated towards his spouse. His arms wrapped around Halen and pulled him closer. Halen smiled a bit and kissed his head, "I thought you were asleep" the other boy said. "I heard the door open when you got home" Alex mumbled in a tired voice. His blue eyes fluttered open to see halen. "Ooh, I see. Go back to sleep, love. You need rest." Halen spoke in a calm tone of voice. Alex nodded and placed a soft kiss on his significant others lips. Halen smiled. He rested his head on Alex's chest and they both drifted off to sleep.

It was later in the night when Alex's eyes quickly opened. He rapidly looked around the room. He sat up and looked at his phone. 3:04 am is what the time read. The male sighed and looked at the boy next to him. Halen was still asleep. Alex just sat there for a moment, just trying to relax after his nightmare. He carefully untangled Halen's arms from around his waist and went to the kitchen. He got some hot water and put a tea bag in the mug. He just tries to calm down while his tea steeped. When it was done, he just drank his tea, the warmness from the drink relaxing him.

The brunette was just drinking his tea when he felt a pair of arms wrap around his waist and a body pressed against him from behind. He smiled a bit, "Did i wake you up?" Alex asked. "I woke up when i realized you got out of bed" the older male said in a tired tone. Alex put his cup down and turned around to face Halen. Halen's ocean blue eyes open and looked at the brunette. Alex warmly smiled and kissed his head, "I didn't mean to wake you up." "Its okay. Why are you up," Halen asked. "Bad dream. Im fine now," Alex responded. Halen nodded understanding. "Let's go back to bed," Alex says. Halen nods again and they go back to their room

They lay in bed, bodies pressed against eachother. Halen fell right back asleep, but Alex didn't. He just gazed at his husband, falling deeper and deeper into love by the second. He placed a light kiss on halens lips and fell back asleep, having dreams of their future.
