Mama and I pull up to our new house in a small town called Derry, the house is a faded yellow color and overall not very large, just big enough for the two of us. Derry is small but has a lot to explore, which will be fun, i've always had a passion of exploring new places.

mama exits the car and begins heaving boxes from the moving van into the empty house.

"need help mama?" i offer

"no eddie-bear, why don't you start setting up your room? all your furniture is already there." she suggests

"ok."

i begin walking up the creaky stairs and find the door with a paper reading "eddies room" taped onto it. i push it open to reveal a small room, not too small, but rather a comfortable small. i put on a tame impala mix as i begin to work.

i start by pushing my bed into a corner against the wall, i put my desk in a small area by the door and push my dresser into the wall beside the built in closet, i unwrap a long mirror and place it into another corner of the room, i hang up a few Tame Impala and Mac Demarco posters and add fairy lights going along the ceiling of the room. i finish with plants and other various decorations.

       I'm proud of how it turned out in the end, it's cozy, i look out the window and notice it's gotten darker, i grab my phone and check the time. 10:14pm. i should go to sleep, i'll explore the town when i wake up.

"what do you guys wanna do tomorrow?" Stanley asks

"it's supposed to be hot, how about the quarry?" bev suggests

we were all walking back to bills (where we were sleeping) after a night at the arcade.

"yeah the q-quarry sounds g-"

"woah, did someone move into sinclair's old place?" i ask, interrupting bill

"huh, that was quick. i wonder who it is?" bev asks

"hopefully she's hot, imagine having a hot neighbor bill, of course she'd fall for me instead of y-"

"beep b-beep richie" bill rolls his eyes

he shrugs and begins walking to his house across the street from the new people. we spend the night watching horror movies and eating junk food.

"maybe we should introduce ourselves" Ben suggests

"to who? we don't even know who lives there." mike adds

"i dunno, just tryin to be nice"

"we w-will see tomorrow, go t-to sleep." bill mutters

"goodnight guys" i whisper

i get a few good nights back before taking my glasses off and drifting into a peaceful slumber.
