Hi! Thank you for choosing to read Her Silence. The main character of this story struggles with anxiety, which is triggered by the likes of drug addiction and overdoses, panic attacks, and dramatic incidents such as a fire. If you are not comfortable with these themes then please do not read on as this story may not be for you. That being said, this is total fiction. The main character differs from others, and the way in which she communicates is presented in italic writing due to sign language being her first language. In this story sign language is comprehended immediately, as I believe it should be portrayed as accessible, much like the English language.
I am an English Literature student from England, and decided to spend the summer of 2019 drafting up the beginning of this story. I will often read through and pick up on mistakes I have made, so though this story is complete I am always editing it! Whilst I am a perfectionist and re-read my work thoroughly, there will still be the odd mistake that I gloss over. Feel free to pick up on them and make me aware!
The beginning of each chapter includes a quote that is relevant to the events that unfold within them - I do not own these quotes, and the 'owner' (per se) is mentioned.
The cover of this story consists of two merged photos that I found on Pinterest - I do not own these photos.
You can vote and comment on this story - do so if you have enjoyed certain chapters or parts! Most importantly: enjoy! <3
