Chapter 1

Ugh!! I want to kill myself and it's all because of Hayes Grier!! I have no idea why he hates me!! He always bullies me in the halls. He pushes me, takes my books, and one time he broke my glasses.

We actually used to be friends believe it or not.

FLASHBACK

**Knock Knock**

I opened the door and there stood my best friend Hayes Grier. The one and only Hayes Grier lived a couple of blocks away from me, and like all of his fans I had a crush on him, but I would never tell him that.

"Common Willow!! I'm bored. Lets go get to the movies! The Maze Runner just came out and it looks good!" Hayes said.

"Okay! Let me just tell my mom where I'm going."

I quickly ran inside and screamed up the stairs to my mom who was trying to work.

"MOM I'M GOING WITH HAYES GRIER TO THE MOVIES!! I'LL TEXT YOU WHEN I'M DONE AND ON MY WAY HOME!!"

She peered around the corner and calmly spoke, " Willow dear I have a headache. Please don't yell. Thats fine, do you have money?"

"Oh right." I ran into the kitchen and grabbed $30 off the table. "Okay mom I'm leaving now. I love you. I'll call Greyson when I'm done so he can come pick me and Hayes up." and with that I closed the door and ran out to meet Hayes.

Hayes Grier lived two doors down from me. He moved here three years ago and I knew from the moment I laid eyes on him, that he was the one. He is perfect in every way. I love the way he flips his hair to the side. I love his baby blue eyes. I could stare into them and be lost for ever.

"Willow lets race. Last one there has to buy the tickets!" Hayes challenged. We lived so close to the movie theater, so we normally just walk instead of taking the car.

"Oh its on like Donkey Kong!!" Why couldn't I think of something better to say?!?!

"On your mark, get set GO!!" I yelled. We started running and I had the lead. Even though I'm a girl, I run really fast. I'm on the cheer team so I have a lot of leg muscle.

I can see the movie theatre now. I was so close to winning. Then out of the corner of my eye I saw Hayes taking the lead! He was sprinting so I just gave up. He ran up to the register.When I finally caught up with him, he handed me my ticket.

"How much?" I asked.

"Nothing. My treat." Hayes said. Could I love him anymore than I already do?

We walked in and got our seats.

**FLASH FORWARD TO THE END OF THE MOVIE**

I texted Grayson telling him to come pick us up. Then I called my mom and told her that we were on our way home.

I looked up from my phone and Hayes was no where to be found. I called his cell. I heard it ringing behind me. I turned around and he was walking toward me with two ice cream cones. He handed me the chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream and I looked up at him and smiled.

"This is my favoriteeee! Thanks Haaaaaaassss!" I laughed.

He took a bite of his and I went and tapped the bottom of his cone so it went all over his face! It was so funny! He looked at me and smashed mine into me.

"Okay, okay!! Were even!!" I surrendered.

He got us some napkins and we wiped off our very sticky faces, I love how he is my best friend and we can act completely normal around each other,

**END FLASHBACK**

Well that has changed.

"Hurry up honey!! You're going to be late!! Don't want to be late for your first day now do you" My mom was trying to be enthusiastic but truly I just wanted to go back to bed. I haven't seen Hayes all summer and certainly not looking forward to seeing him at school. I hope things are going to change. Its my first year at high school. I'm a freshman now, and he can't ruin this year for me. I am going to move on from that perfect face, those perfect eyes, and that adorable laugh. I was going to find someone new.

I grabbed my new bag filled with all my new supplies and ran down stairs.

I was sitting at the counter eating breakfast, when there was a knock at the door. My mom opened it. I couldn't see who it was.

"Common on in!! Shes in the kitchen right now eating!" my mom kindly greeted.

I expected my one of my friends but I was shocked as to who was standing before me.

Benjamin.Hayes.Grier.

((A/N)) Hey guys!! So how do yall like the first chapter? Please comment on what you think! This is my first book I've ever written. Do yall think it needs to be longer, shorter? Does it sound OK?
