"Wake up, everyone. Time to start!" Elliot and I say, getting everyone up from their slumber. Once everyone wakes up, Eddy comes from the back of the train. "I believe this train is ready to go." Eddy smirks. "Did.. You work on that over night, Eddy?" Marshall asks. "I sure did. I slipped out when everyone fell asleep." He says proudly. "So it'll work? The trains will work?" Jess asks. Eddy looks at her and shakes his head. "Unfortunately no. The other train will need work too. But I refuse to work on that until we know the whole subway is cleared. Too dangerous." Eddy says. Quinto looks at him and laughs. "You afraid of killing some walking corpses?" He asks Eddy. "No, not at all.. It's just that I-" Eddy begins to say. "Don't worry about it, Eddy. I don't want you fighting anyways. You're too valuable." I say to him. Eddy smiles and nods.
"What are the plans today, Thomas?" Washington asks. "Well, we've cleared one stop already, we're going to clear the rest of the stops. There's.. one.. two.. there's fourteen of us. Four more stops to go clear. I can stay back with Eddy and Hilda. That leaves eleven of us left. You guys can branch off and go to each stop by yourselves. Though I don't want singles going. That means you must have someone with you. Go ahead and start grouping." I say. Devan and Fay walk up to Washington and Craig, greeting them to see if they want to go together, and they agree to it. Sandra, Jess and Erin, and Kiki are together. Lastly, Quinton, Marshall, Elliot, and the dog, Abira. They know each other well enough so I'm not worried. Everyone is in a group now, and I "I want to hand these out, guys." Hilda says and shows four walkie talkies. "Choose the leader for each group and have them grab one." I say. Elliot, Washington, and Erin walk up and take one. Leaving one for us here in Stop A.
"Now that this train is working, we can take it to drop people off, right?" Craig questions. "Yep, now everyone get in and wait for us to get up in that room so we can send you guys off." Eddy states with a small smile. Hilda, Eddy and I begin to walk up to the room in the far corner and Eddy sits at the chair and picks up the walkie talkie. "Get your group ready for Stop E." He says. He then pulls the lever sending them toward there. "So proud of my work.." He says. "We get it, stop bragging about it." Hilda says, shaking her head. "Yes, Eddy. Stop mentioning it.. Please." I add in. "Okay.. Okay. Sorry." He replies.
On the train the groups are preparing their weapons and whatnot. "Remember. No firearms at all. Since Eddy fixed the lights we won't need the lanterns. When we get to the first stop, we need to figure out which group will go first." Elliot states. "We will." Erin and her group says. "Alright then, looks like your stop is coming up shortly." Elliot says. After a few minutes, the train stops, then the doors open and Erin's group stands there. "There's nothing here? You guys mind holding the train while we check out the place?" Jess asks. "Yeah sure thing." Elliot says, then tells Eddy to hold it.
Their group climbs out and starts looking around; nothing. Nothing's there. No bodies, no biters.. Nothing. They then step back on the train and shrug their shoulders. "There's nothing here, let's keep moving, we'll get the next stop." Kiki says. The train starts back up again and shortly after, they reach Stop D, where the group gets out. Instantly Sandra shoots a biter coming close to them with her bow and arrow. They then start taking down many others and the train starts back up again. Washinton's group then steps up to the doors and walks out when the train stops at Stop C. There's a few biters there, maybe ten, but they start taking them down.
Finally, Elliot's group stops at Stop B, Elliot immediately starts running toward some tents that were set up, while Abira and Quinton follows. Marshall is silently taking down biters, defending them at the tents. Something within the tents start moving, seemingly trying to grab the survivors on the outside. "Just biters. Let them out and kill them, we could use these tents." Elliot states. Quinton opens the tent they were at and a biter with one arm creeps out, trying to grab them. Quinton stomps on it's head and looks over to the other tents where another biter rips through one. "Well, there goes one tent.." Marshall says. They go over to the tents and kill the biters in there and continue to kill the biters surrounding them.
Devan, Washington, Fay and Craig have already cleared their stop and are sitting on some stone benches, talking. Fay and Washington are sitting there, talking about their lives before. Devan moves toward Craig. "Hey.. Craig is it? I never got to really talk to you.. Your dad is a very intelligent man, you know." Devan says to Craig. "Yeah.. Thanks." Craig replies softly. "So.. How old are you? Or think you are since this all started?" Devan asks. "I think I'm fifteen, maybe sixteen." Craig says. "Oh, makes sense. I bet you had all the ladies before." Devan replies chuckling a bit. "I never tried to, really." Craig says. "Why's that?" Devan asks. "I never really went outside that often. My mom always pushed me to, though I never listened to her. But now that the shit hit the fan I've wanted to do something, take my anger out on the corpses for fun. My mom never let me, of course." Craig says with a sigh. After a few moments, Devan looks up to Craig. "What.. Happened to your mom?" Devan asks. "She died.. Shortly before we met you guys." Craig says. "Biters got her, I'm guessing?" Devan asks. "Yeah.. Don't bring it up.." Craig mutters. Devan, not hearing Craig's words, keeps talking. "Those things are sneaky fucks, but they're stupider than all hell. It's shocking how they still get to pe-" Craig pulls out a knife and frowns at Devan. "I said don't bring it up!!!" Craig screams and jumps onto Devan, causing them to fall onto the ground. Craig is trying to push his knife into Devan's chest. "Craig! Get off of him!" Washington yells running over to the two. Craig seemed to have an adrenaline rush and over throws Devan's strength and shoves the knife dead center of Devan's chest. Washington then grabs Craig and throws his knife to the ground, Craig is screaming and kicking in Washington's arms, "Shut up! Stop it! Let go of me!" He screams. Devan's gasping for air and Fay's on the walkie talkie, calling to my stop.
"Craig went insane and stabbed Devan!" Fay yells in the walkie talkie. "We'll send the train back your way, maybe we can try to help him." I say. "I.. Uh.. Just.. Send some medical supplies. I'll fix him.." Fay says. "How are you going to do that?!" I reply. "I was a nurse before the whole thing. I have medical history. Just send something! Fast!" Fay says. I look to Eddy and he looks to me. "What's going on, Thomas?" Elliot says over the walkie talkie. "Devan was stabbed by Craig. We don't have medical supplies here, we don't really know what to do right now." I say. "We just found a few things in some tents here. We'll grab them and hop on the train." Elliot says.
The group grabs the contents within the tents and the tents themselves and they jump onto the train, which is already starting up and moving to Washington's stop. A few minutes later, they're there. Fay runs over and grabs the medical kit and sprints back to Devan lying on the ground, coughing up blood. She starts working on saving him, grabbing supplies from the kit. Quinton runs over to Washington to help keep Craig calmed down, thoug Craig runs off to the train. "Watch the train, make sure he doesn't leave it.." Washington says and sits on the bench, with his head in his hands. "What has he done.." He keeps muttering to himself.
Fay had stripped Devan of his shirt, cleaned his wound, and had sewed up his wound, and they had loaded Devan up onto the train car. Craig is on the opposite end of the train car, staring at the floor. Washington walks over to his son and sits in front of him. Washington taps Craig's shoulder quietly, and after a few moments, Craig slowly raises his head. "Craig.. What.. What drove you to do this, Craig?" Washington questions him. Craig's head moves back to aim the ground. "Craig, look at me damn it! Why did you do this! Why did you do this!?" Washington shouts. And after not answering his father, Washington strikes Craig across the cheek. Craig slowly looks up to him and sheds a tear. "Get out of my face.. Dad.. I don't want to see you right now.." Craig mutters. Washington, frowning, gets up and walks off, and leaves Craig alone where he's now weeping.
"Devan is loaded on the train now?" I ask over the walkie talkie. "Yep, clear out a spot for him. We're going to pick up Erin's group and we'll come back to Stop A. Fay says Devan will be fine, but we need to keep watch on him for now." Elliot replies. "Alright, see you in a little." I say. Soon after, Eddy sends the train to pick up the others and when they get there, they all load on the train. "Devan? Oh my god, what the hell happened?" Kiki asks after they see Devan lying on the ground with bandages on his chest. "Craig went insane." Marshall says quickly. "Don't say it like that." Elliot states with a stern tone. "What he meant to say was the boy over there had an argument with Devan, and he stabbed him." Elliot informs them. "Will he be okay?" Jess asks. "Fay says he should, if we watch him carefully."
The train started up again and shortly after, they're all at Stop A again. I run over and help carry Devan up to the control room, to keep him safe from everything else. Elliot comes up to me and silently stands next to me. "We need to discuss a few things, Thomas." Elliot whispers to me. I nod and Elliot walks over to the door, opens it and calls out. "Washington, come up here, we need to speak with you.."
