Realisation

"Mihiru, I've noticed you've become extremely quiet. What's up?" You asked cautiously.

"That's for me to decide, it would be best you don't push it." Mihiru said sternly.

"Alright then. Suit yourself." You said nonchalantly. "I suppose you've heard of the Icarus Experiment?" You added.

"No. What is that?" Mihiru asked bluntly.

"From what I know, it is a cybernetic augmentation that grants the user the ability of flight. My friends and I were the first four volunteers of the experiment. So far, only one of us knows how to use it." You said casually.

"And that would be you, if I had to guess?" Mihiru asked sarcastically.

"Nope. That would be Jack. From what he described, it can be used as a ballistic shield and an offensive weapon." You pushed on with the small talk.

"Sounds interesting." She said casually.

"Yeah, well needless to say the opertion hurt like a bitch when I woke up." You said with a chuckle.

"I can agree." Elizabeth said nonchalantly.

"What about some experiment?" The blonde asked cautiously.

"That is classified information." Jack said strictly.

"We probably shouldn't have said anything..." Elizabeth said nervously.

"Yeah. My apologies, I was just trying to make small talk." You said anxiously.

"Well, let's drop it." Jack said sternly.

"Got it." You said.

"Hold up! Grimm ahead!" The blonde said sternly, racking what seems to be dual shotguns on her arms.

"What? Grimm? What are those?" Jack asked, cocking his custom M1911A1.

"I presume you killed something back at your campsite?" A quiet, almost unnoticed white haired girl asked sternly.

Jack hummed from this realisation. Everyone raised their weapons and sure enough, two human sized scorpions came creeping out of the bushes.
You held Harus mouth shut, as you could see she wanted to scream.

"Ssh! Let's not alert anything unnecessarily." You whispered sternly.

You slowly removed your hand, and she gripped her gun tightly, then the scorpions moved away and further into the bushes. The blonde ordered everyone to run, and they did until they came to a gate. Then some werewolf looking creatures came out of the bushes and started running towards you and the others.
Haru opened fire, killing two, while Elizabeth opened fire with her assault rifle.
The blonde ripped you and the others into the city, then you saw something incredible. The black haired girl kept making clones of herself while picking off the remaining monsters single handedly. When everyone got into the city, the gates closed and everyone has questions.

"What was that!?" Haru asked nervously.

"What was what?" The redhead asked curiously.

"That girl! How did she do that?" She asked again.

"Do what?" The blonde asked sternly.

"The thing where she confused the creatures?" Tokaku asked, clearly shocked just as much.

"Oh, you mean Semblence? It's a thing people gain on the path of a huntsman or huntress." The blonde replied.

"Speaking of which, what are your names? All this time and we never even got your names." Jack said sternly.
