Episode 13: The Past You

Almost one year had passed since they left and yet they didn't really check on Chaeyoung. They contacted her through call only for a few times. They didn't give her any news about Sooyoung. Every day for that almost one year, Chaeyoung kept worrying about her little sister's condition.

It was Chaeyoung's birthday that day. She wished that her parents and Sooyoung could have come for her 10-year-old birthday. Well, her wish might have come true because her mum's younger brother, Park Hosong Samchoen, paid her a visit at her mansion with a gift in the midday. She was very happy at first but little did she know that it became a beginning to a tragedy in Chaeyoung's life, the beginning of everything... The uncle brought her into a room upstairs and stripped him despite his cry and rejection. He started to touch all over her body with unstoppable lusts... She cried too hard and screamed her lung out for help but that guy didn't stop at that... She was extremely scared...

*Bang*

That devil suddenly passed out on her bared body. She was almost being done by that evil Samcheon. Fortunately, Auntie Sun, the eldest maid in the house, came to help her on time by hitting that Samcheon head with a vase. She helped little Chaeyoung dressing up back but Chaeyoung cannot stop crying... She was still sobbing... She was traumatized by that...

"My little Miss! Please come and hide in the maid's house first." Sobbing Chaeyoung nodded as she didn't know what to do. She was scared and desperate.

When Hosong Samcheon came back to sense, he was bleeding around the neck. He left the mansion but he threatened all the maids in the house to not tell his sister at the States about what happened today. He didn't find who hit him and where Chaeyoung was but immediately left.

Chaeyoung was at the maid's house and in the Aunties Sun's room. She took her maid's phone to call her mum. Her mum was surprised by her crying voice...

"Mom, I'm scared. Please help me... Please come back fast!!!" Her tone was trembling

"What's wrong, honey?" Mrs. Park on that sided asked

"Hosong Samcheon... He wanted to do that to me. Mom, help me... Can't you come back here tonight?"

"He wanted to do what? Can you please be more specific?" Her mum sounded stricter now

"He... He wanted to... He wanted to rap me, mum! I'm scared. M-mom, please." Mrs. Park sighed at the other line

"Rosé, listen here. I know you miss us so much and want us to go meet you soon but this isn't the way. Do you know what you're saying? You accused my brother of doing such a dirty thing on you. This is unacceptable. I know him better. He is a good person. I don't like this, Rosé. You know right, we do this for your sister. Can you please be more patient and sacrifice for her? We will soon come back, don't worry. And I don't wanna hear such a made-up story anymore. Don't skip meals and take care."

'Minyoung Honey, can you come here and check Joy's temperature?' It's her dad's voice from the other side. Chaeyoung was crying damn hard again...

"Mum! Chaebal!!" Chaeyoung said with her sobbing voice

"I need to check on Joy now. Bye, dear." She hangs up the call immediately without noticing her. That moment, Chaeyoung knew she had nobody to rely on. She was alone, completely alone.

Aunties Sun sneaked in to check on sobbing Chaeyoung. She was also crying hugging her Miss that she could not help any further. She told Miss Chaeyoung that her Samchoen had left already but she could not tell when he would come back again. She assisted her little Miss into her room but she was traumatized by what happened.

After Aunties Sun left her room, Chaeyoung made up her mind that night. She packed up her little backpack and ran away from home without anyone's notices and before her uncle came back to her again. She kept running without knowing the destination. She took the bus and went far away from her area. She took off the bus and just ran, not knowing where to go. Tears brimming in her eyes made everything blur. The next thing, she found herself getting hit by a car when she crossed the street and the moment she woke up, she was at someone's house. That day, she found new love, a new light in her life. She received the love that she already didn't know how it felt before, from her current granny.

[End the Flashback and Come Back to Present]

"I'll check on her again for you now. She cannot ignore you like this. Wait here!" Granny says and stands up but Chanyeol stops her with a sigh

"It's okay, granny. I don't think she wants to talk to me right now, anyway! Let her calm herself first." Granny nods as she understands what he means. Then, Chanyeol excuses himself to go back home.

After listening to what granny told him about Chaeyoung's past, Chanyeol got why she doesn't feel right meeting her sister again. It might still haunt her until now. Sooyoung might have a good nice past but not for Chaeyoung. Chanyeol feels guiltier for forcing Chaeyoung to face her sister without knowing the real story.

"Sh*t! She might notwant to see me again! What should I do?" Chanyeol mumbles to himself and pullsthe blanket over his head, tries to sleep in his bed.
