I set my phone on the table and looked up at Alex. "Alex, my mom just said that she hasn't spoken to your mom in a while. When was the last time you gave her a call? "Oh, it was just yesterday. I called her and she said she was busy so she couldn't talk." She rushed out. "Well, okay, but can you please tell her to give my mom a phone call, she is really worried. I guess your mom didn't show up for dinner with my mom," "Sure I will," Alex said as she took a sip of her coffee.
We finished and paid for our food and got back into her car. I asked her to drop me off at my house as I needed to get ready for my classes.

Unknown's POV
I twirled the phone in my hand as I waited for the phone call. Alex texted me that she needed to talk to me. I stayed in a house that was far from the city. I was surrounded by mountains and trees, and it was far better than living in that small apartment. Plus I had a basement, a place where I could hide all my secrets. The ring of the phone echoed through the house. "Hello, Alex," I spoke.

"Violet is getting suspicious, her mom called and told her she hasn't seen my mom in a while. Violet is asking questions." She spoke in her annoyingly squeaky voice.
"Well, your just going to have to convince her that your mom is fine, I can't let her go yet."

"No! I can't continue lying to my friend!" She screamed. I clenched my teeth. How dare she disobey me. "Remember who is holding your mother's life in their hands," I sneered. That shut her up quick. "Now do as I say and your mother will not get hurt." It was time to make my move. I'll get close to Violet, and when she least expects it I'll take her. My bride will be home soon."

Violet's POV
I sat in my psychology class, everything was pretty normal. The professor stood in front of the class. The students wrote down pages of notes. Psychology was a class I had chosen because it fascinated me. It was either this class or engineering which I was not a fan of. "Alright, class is over." I put my notebook into my bag and headed out. I have an essay to do for animal science, so I need to get on that once I get home. I went to a supermarket on my way home and decided to fill up on some food. I grabbed some vegetables and meat. I was running low on money so I couldn't get too much.
Right now my parents would send me money every month, that was the only way I could survive. I wanted to get a job but they didn't want me working; saying that I needed to focus on school. It was great but I wish they would let me be more independent rather than me relying on them. I headed to the checkout and paid for the food. I didn't get too many groceries as I needed to carry this home and my weak little arms couldn't carry much weight.

I got to my apartment and did a little prayer before I walked in. I hope there wasn't a note again. I unlocked the door and walked in. I put the groceries on the table. I put my bag in my room, making sure to check for a note but there was none. I started unpacking the groceries and putting them in the fridge. I considered if I should tell the police about the note but then I remembered what Alex said. "I should go ask the front desk and ask if someone sent the note." I grabbed my keys and headed out the door and to the elevator. I pressed the button and waited. The doors opened and I walked out.

There was a lady with long blond hair and chocolate brown eyes. The nameplate said her name was Linda. "Excuse me Linda but I wanted to ask a question." She looked up at me and gave me a polite smile. " Sure thing," She said with a southern accent. "Was there anyone suspicious who came here yesterday that told you to deliver a note to my room, 459?" She seemed deep in thought. "I don't remember anyone asking for us to deliver something. Let me ask one of my coworkers, he was working all day yesterday." She went through a door that said 'Staff Only." I realized I really never talked with the people that worked here. I've lived here for at least a year but I didn't even know anyone that worked here.
Linda came back shortly with a man. "Hello, I'm John." He said putting his hand out. " Hello I'm Violet," I said shaking his hand. "So what is the problem?" John asked. "Well, yesterday when I had gotten home I realized that there was a note on my bed. I opened it and it seemed like some kind of twisted love letter. I just don't know how it got in there. I always keep my door locked and no one else has a copy of my keys. I wanted to know if someone asked you to put it in there or if there was anyone suspicious here."

He got quiet; trying to recall his memories. "I didn't have anyone ask me to send a note to your room but I did see someone suspicious. There was a young man that had a black hoodie on. He had very pale skin and dark eyes. He said he was coming to visit a friend, but he just seemed very off. Honestly, he gave me the chills." I wonder if he is the one who put the note in my room. "Okay, well thank you for the information," I gave them a smile and shook both of their hands. I didn't tell them what the note said. I didn't want the police to get involved. "I think you should talk to the police, you said it was a twisted love note so maybe you could have a stalker or something," Linda suggested. "I don't think that's necessary, I'll be okay," I said.
I headed up to my room after that. I laid down on my couch and started watching TV. I heard my phone vibrate. I grabbed my phone and looked at the number. It was an unknown number.

It was a text message. It sent chills down my spine.
"Hi, sweetheart," The text said.
"Who is this?" I typed back.
"You'll know very soon, my bride."
