MATED TO THE ALPHA KING

RAINE

My name is Raine Fairchild, I'm a werewolf. Not just any werewolf but a Special. Specials are werewolves with different given abilities and powers from the Moon Goddess so, we are kind of rare.

I specifically am more...uh unique than the others cos other Specials have one unique power each while I have alot more than one.

My powers vary from being able to control fire and water to mind control and many others even foreseeing the future sometimes.

As a child, I had to discover my powers on my own and learn to control them with very little help because my parents died in a rogue attack leaving me alone in the world.

Today, I rush into the Café where I work and throw my bag over the counter grabbing an apron in the process. I grab a pen and notepad as well and make my way to a waiting table.

" Hey, Asher. What are you gonna be having today?  The usual or the special? "

" Gimme the usual and some of those bread thingies. "

" Waffles...got it. "

11 hours later...

I'm with my best friend, Vanessa walking into the Pack Ground where the event is being held when we are met by some other Specials, I mean "Natalie" and her minions.

" What do you want now, Natalie? You just can't seem to be able to live without me, can you? "

" *glaring daggers at me* You wish! I'm just here to tell you that the Alpha King is going to be in attendance today and guess who's gonna be his Queen? Yes, me. So you better back off. "

" Sure, in fact, I'm going to ignite the sparks."

I let fire spark from the tip of my fingers and smile darkly at her making her cower back slightly before turning around and stomping off with her minions.

" C'mon, let's go, Raine. The ceremony is about to start. "

Today's ceremony is for the introduction of Specials, the powerful ones who know how to control and make good use of their abilities.

We are going to showcase our powers to the Royal Council and Alpha King. After which they will give their opinions and decide those that will go with them to the Palace and have more training...

About half an hour into the ceremony, we are called out one after the other to showcase our abilities.

I'm called last of all and when I am, the current Alpha comes out and faces the Council that is hidden behind a curtain...

" This is the person I've been telling you all about, she is the only one who has been blessed with more than one supernatural power. "

I step forward and for some reason, I'm drawn to the Royal Council, sort of. I feel my wolf getting restless and I try hard to push her to the back of my mind.

I exhale slowly and take a stance before trying to let my main elements flow through my body and soon enough, I'm floating a bit above the ground with my water and fire elements surrounding me.

I open my eyes which must be having a shade of gold already and keep the elements flowing around me also keeping the wind at a steady pace around us all.

I look around and focus my aim on the sky gently letting out a drizzle and moving my arms as I create a deafening sound of thunder.

I try to keep my wolf back the whole time but suddenly my chest hurt badly and I start falling from the sky subconsciously as my forcefield breaks and everything stops.

I expect to fall on the ground but I'm taken aback when a muscular form catches me, instantly calming my wolf...

I look into my saviour's eyes and my wolf howls in joy. I realize that I'm clinging onto the Alpha King because of the way his eyes glow.

Then I notice the clouds turn darker and I'm dropped to my feet slowly, our eyes never leaving each other's. He cups my face slowly caressing my cheeks.

I close my eyes slowly and inhale breathing in his scent. He then whispers closely to my ear the words I never believed I'd hear someday...

" Mate..."

I also surprise myself by repeating the same word to him making his eyes turn darker...

I slowly look up and notice everyone staring at us in complete shock. I try to move from his hold but his grip tightens in warning...

I hear the next words and my mind goes blank...

" Presenting your new Queen Luna... the Alpha King's mate... Raine Fairchild..."

Everyone, this is something I'm trying out in Wattpad after putting it down on paper. I hope that this first chapter is a start to my success in the book...

I'm also thinking about taking down " Claimed By The Alpha" cos I've kind of lost interest in the book so... we'll see.
