Veronica Delgado is the cousin of Scott McCall and niece of Melissa McCall - Melissa's brother being Veronica's father. Near the end of summer before her Junior Year, Veronica's family was in a car accident. A drunk-driver swerved, causing the Delgado's to crash. Unfortunately, Alejandro and Xiomara Delgado didn't survive the accident, however Veronica barely survived. Now mostly healed from all physical wounds - except scars - Veronica has to move from El Paso, Texas to Beacon Hills, California to live with her closest living relative, her aunt Melissa.
With Veronica already gone through such traumatising events in the past few weeks, Scott and the rest of the pack try their best to shelter the recently-orphaned girl from the supernatural. With an Alpha Pack and a Dark Druid, or Darach, running around the small Californian town, however, it's a lot harder than it sounds.
