"the rain is getting harder,"
the girl whispered, hugging herself tighter to keep warmth. she forgot to bring an umbrella, since she woke up late and rushed to leave for a bus.
"hey, shouldn't you be wearing a hoodie atleast?" a taller male shouted out, approaching her and holding out an umbrella. "I don't need it, I got my hood," he added.
she stood there awkwardly, staring at the umbrella infront of her. she knew if she looked up at him, she'd become all shades of pink. "thanks Dan," she said quietly, "I forgot to grab a hoodie.. and a umbrella"
Daniel giggled, smirking "typical Ellie, always so forgetful"
"not true!" she hissed, glaring at him in the eyes. "who is the one who always forgets to do his homework?"
he rubbed the back of his head, turning away "okay you got a point, but it still doesn't make you not forgetful" he argued.
Ellie jumped up and down, "shut up! it's too cold for this!"
the taller male stared at her and couldn't hold back his big grin, "you are so cute when you are mad, here let me warm you up," he came closer and wrapped his arms around her, holding her tightly.
she smiled and blushed, "I can hear your heartbeat"
"well, you are short"
"why do you always ruin the moment!" she pulled away with a huge smile and cherry blossom cheeks, looking away.
"look at me"
she slowly turned her head towards him, looking into his chocolate eyes. she quietly gasped when she felt his warm hands touch the side of her face. the umbrella slips out of her hand, hitting the ground gently.
he slowly ran his fingers down her ears, smiling. "I always find myself falling. falling into those beautiful, light blue eyes of yours. falling over things when I notice you looking at me. falling for you.."
"Dan.."
"I need to try something,"
Ellie knew where this was going. she stood on her tippy toes and pulled him by the collar of his hoodie, leaning in to kiss him. she grasped onto his hair, running her fingers through it gently.
the two pulled away after 10 seconds, panting a little. "I was not expecting that," Dan said, almost breathless.
"well you aren't hard to read, stupid."
"hey, did it stop raining?"
