was it really a surprise? she knew what was coming

- february 12th

wonpil was waiting for his soon to be ex-girlfriend mei. he was a little nervous not knowing how she'd take the news.

"hey" she smiled as she sat down in front of him. "uhm, hi" he smiled.

"so what's the special occasion? you never really invite me out" she smiled. "mei... you know we've been together for a long time" he chuckled as she reached to hold his hand.

"yes.. and im extremely proud over that"

"mei... im sorry but i-" she cut him off with a kiss. "i know" she whispered. "know what ???" wonpil asked

"that you're in love with dowoon" she chuckled. wonpil was shocked.

"you know you love him right?" she said again, trying to get wonpil to talk

"since when?" he asked

"since pretty much always. that's why im breaking up with you" she smirked. "b-but i came here to break up with you !" he laughed.

"originally i was going to break up with you a few days ago, but you weren't doing so well with dowoon. so i didn't want to add the break up onto you, and you didn't even know you had feelings for him... so i decided to wait until you both would confess."

"what do you mean by 'pretty much always' i didn't realize until a couple days ago" he informed. "wonpil... you would constantly talk about him with me. it was obvious you two weren't just friends. he didn't even seem like he knew about me either... so im assuming you never even told him... and he's your best friend."

"im so sorry. i understand if you don't even want to stay as friends" he sighed. he was embarrassed and sad that even his own ex-girlfriend knew about his feelings before him.

"wonpil... no matter what, we'll always be friends. you're my first love wonpil"
