Quincy looked at the dark water in front of her. She glanced back at the faded writing on the tattered piece of parchment. What am I doing? She thought, her mind flashed to the image of Collrin's hurt face. Quincy used her legs to push herself forward. A large cave came into view and she willed her legs to work. Finally, they moved until she was right in front of it. Something stung on her wrist. She looked down and saw a deep purple glow.
This was the place, the place that would tell her the truth.
No more lies. No more secrets.
She walked in and wasn't surprised when the water was replaced with air. The walls were damp and stalactites hung from the ceiling and dripped onto the floor. Her legs wouldn't cooperate and she fell to the ground. Only when her lungs screamed for air that she realized she was holding her breath. Quincy stood back up and took a few more steps forward. A deep, raspy voice called from deeper inside,
