Due to the growing popularity of trekking in Nepal, the Nepalese Government has taken actions. For instance, the trekking trail is well maintained. Where is Mera Peak located?

Mera Peak is the highest permitted trekking peak in Nepal. It is located in the Mahalangur section, of the Khumbu region, and lies to the south of Mount Everest. The entrance to Mera Peak is on the Everest Trail and the trek usually starts from Lukla Airport. It is one of the main peaks in the Sagarmatha Conservation site. Mera Peak stands at an elevation of 6476 meters and remains a great vantage point for the perfect scenery. Atop Mera Peak, we get a panoramic view of Mt. Kanchenjunga, Makalu, Lhotse, Everest, and Cho Oyu. The trail is a commonly used trail and is well maintained. The trek to Mera peak is not difficult but a fairly easy one.
