Lyric was a normal girl. She had many friends, and her family loved her very much. She had an older brother and a younger sister. They all lived with her Mom, Dad and Aunt. They all got along and were a very peacefully family in general.

My family decided to go shopping. I don't like shopping so my parents left me at home. When they left, I got on my computer. After a while the screen started to glitch, so I turned it back off, hoping it would return to normal by the time my parents came back. I opened a book and lay down on my bed, not bothering to close my door or take off my shoes like I usually did.

After reading the book, my parents were still not home, so I made myself lunch and did my dishes. I went back up to my room. The computer sat on my desk where I'd left it. I wondered if it was still glitching. When I opened it, it was. Yay. The front door opened, and I heard the voices of my Aunt and Mom, then my Dad and my brother and sister. I dashed down the stairs to tell them the situation with the computer. "Hi Mom." She hugged me. "How are you? Are you okay? Did you eat a proper lunch? Did anything happen?" I shrugged, "I'm fine. Yeah, I had the leftovers from last night instead of cooking something new. And as for anything happening..." I glanced up the stairs towards my room. "Um..."

My mom looked at me sternly. Or tried to. She ended up making a warped laughing and mad face. "Okay, what happened?" She sighed. "The computer started glitching, and it won't stop." Suddenly, all the lights went out. "Uh, Mom? You did pay the electric bill right?" My sister joked nervously. "Yeah, I did..." My Dad set down his bags. "I'll go check the box," he said. While he went down the stairs, Mom and Aunt Christina took their bags to their rooms. I went to my room to rest, while Kira and Sean took the TV to try to get it to work.

IN LYRIC'S DREAM~

I was lying on the ground. It's another bad dream... The howl of a wolf echoed through the forest towards me. Suddenly, pain shot through my arm. I glanced down. There were two bite marks on the edge of my hand and purple was slowly making its way through my arm. There's poison in my bloodstream. I guess I'm dying? The pain shot through my arm again. I opened my mouth to scream, but no sound came out. I'm dying but I can't scream. The darkness seemed to get closer. Another wolf's howl echoed through the forest. I swear there's something out there... A huge wolf jumped out of the forest. It had dark brown fur and hazel colored eyes. Save me... I don't want to die... I'm so scared. The wolf walked towards me and stopped close to my face. It sniffed me.

I jolted awake. I was breathing heavily and tears were running down my face. It was already nighttime. Did I miss dinner? What happened? I stretched. Suddenly, the smell of something burning reached my nose. Is dinner burning? What is that? I jumped out of bed and ran down the stairs. I gasped in shock and horror as I saw what was burning. It was the computer, smoke pouring out of a gash in the screen. My parents, Aunt and siblings were laid out in a row. The whole scene was so terrifying that I gagged and threw up. I wiped my mouth and squeezed my eyes shut. Who had done this? Why had they left me alone? Was it to frame me? Why? Why would anyone do this?! I screamed quietly into my hands and sobbed. My parents and siblings were dead. My Aunt was too.

I heard a soft moan and my head snapped up. "Hello?" The moan came again, definitely from one of the bodies on the floor. "Hello? Is anyone-" I saw my Aunt's hand move. "Aunt Christine?!" I got off the floor and raced over to her. "Aunt Christine!" Her eyes were open and following my movements. "Hey..." She gasped for breath. "The person who did this..." I took her hand. "Yeah?" "They left a message written on the screen..." I patted her head and then glared at the screen. You cannot run forever. We will find you, Lyric. We will find you. What the actual heck!? Why would someone come looking for me? "Aunt Christine?" Her eyes opened before she gasped "They... said they needed you for your ability... They are going to find you..." I glared at the open door. "Not if I find them first."
