Bad boy fever

Chapter 8

I walked into the school and started going up the steps. I've started to get a lift from my brother Danny now, since me and Isabelle aren't exactly friends anymore. It's nice though, like because he's 19 already and has a drivers license it's easy for him to drive me.

I mean, we're not exactly the best brother and sister, but we don't really fight or argue.

I smiled back at my brother as he drove off and he gave me a quick wave. I turned round and carried on walking up to the doors.

"Hi Lauren!" Charley called out running up to me. "Hey" I smiled back as I waited for her.

"So, I heard you and Jake are apparently, you know, like, an item!" She squealed poking my ribs and she wiggled her eyebrows.

"God no! Someone as dreamy, gorgeous or stunning like him wouldn't go out with a nerd like me! No, I'm joking, haha, but yeah seriously I'm not an 'Item' with Jake!" I laughed playfully.Her face suddenly dropped and she did her puppy face. "But you'd look good with him.." She pretended to look sad. We both started laughing as she followed me to my locker.

"Aww I missed this" she said about how we used to friends. I still had the pictures of us together making faces in my locker.

We used to be best friends. She was dating my brother. I mean she is only 17, but I don't think age gap even matters so I didn't mind. She was always round our house and we were best friends. My brother didn't really mind that I spent so much time with her, because he knew she loved him. And I did, too.

But there was this guy, Harry. He wanted Charley so bad, and him and my brother got into a huge fight. Danny actually managed to beat him, which is scary because Harry is like twice the size of my brother. But Danny told Charley he needed some time away from her, which I think is the biggest mistake he ever made, because Charley is really nice. She's not ugly, either. And ever since, me and Charley never really talked and she stopped coming over. But Danny's ok, he's had a couple of girlfriends since, but they weren't as nice, they were just in the relationship to look popular, as Danny used to be like the bad boy of his year.

I was walking to biology and for once I was super happy, I'm glad me and Charley are now friends again. It's nice to know I have someone else other than Isabelle, who's already gone.

I heard groaning and I peeped round the corner. Jake was stood there, with Olivia basically crawling all over him. He was kissing her passionately and she was kissing him back, hard. He was moving his hands all over his hips and pulling her closer. My heart just sank. Further and further. I always find it so hard to trust anyone. When I finally trust him he rips out my heart and crushes it until it's gone. There's nothing left. How could he? I really thought we were different.

But no. I was just like the others. The hundreds of girls who he's just left broken hearted.

Tears started streaming down my face and I ran past them and dropped all my books. I raced to the toilets and locked the door. I sat on the back of the toilet and just cried. Charley must of heard me as she came running into the toilets banging on my door. "Lauren! Please come out! I know what he did, I saw too. I feel so sorry for you. I know how it feels. Don't worry about it. He's a jerk! He doesn't know how amazing you really are. I admire you so much. Your gorgeous for gods sake!" She chuckled lightly.

I got up and slowly unlocked the door. Charley slung her arm round me. "Come on, what lesson have you got next? I'll tell the teacher why your late." She said walking me out. "Lauren!" Jake called out after us as Charley walked me to biology. "Leave her alone! Douche!
