It was 3:00 in the afternoon, all of the students in Mrs. H's class sat anxiously in their seats. Only fifteen more minutes until school's finished, along with another boring Math lesson. The room was warm, it was a hot summer day, but the windows remained closed. The curtains were pushed slightly to the sides of the window frames, to let a little light in. The blue walls shined beautifully where the light hit them, but the white floors looked as ugly as usual. Farah Mayflower sat next to Dylan Weekly, and across from him was Bri Seaford. Two desks down from her was Josh Hudson and the rest of the jocks, they watched as the captain of the football team arm wrestled a girl named Mya Sweenie. To their surprise, Mya was winning! That was, until, Mrs. H caught them.
"For the hundredth time, Mya, no arm wrestling in class!" The teacher walking up to the desk which Mya was sitting in. "Save it for the barn! This is the time for learning!" She slapped a detention slip on Mya's desk (detention, in this class, was often referred to as, "The Barn").
The jocks began to laugh while the patted the captain's back.
"So it was you, Josh, who arm wrestled Mya?" The teacher put a detention slip on Josh's desk too, he immediately snapped up so he has sitting up straight. "Never become a criminal, you aren't very good at concealing your acts." Mrs. H finished.
"No no no no no! I have retakes for my History test! I can't miss them, or my mark becomes my mark from the first time I took it!" Josh was jumping up and down in his seat.
"What's so bad with a 38%?" Mya asked under her breath.
"We will discuss it later, captain of the failure team, but, as I said, it's time to learn!" Mrs. H was confident in what she said, but little did she know, she was very wrong. No positive learning was going to come from what happened next.
