Chapter 5: The Angel I Need
Luke's POV
Why? Why today? I just got the boy of my dreams and I almost fracking relapse. I stared down at my arms tracing the fading white lines that marked my skin. As my eyes strayed to my bed where my angel shouldve been asleep, my eyes find those of Ashton right in front of me. Tears pooled in his eyes as he looked down at my arms.
"Oh Lukey why?" He asked his voice strained. I bit my lip trying not to cry.
"I couldn't help it okay. One day I broke and I found my dad's razor blade he uses to open packages and I cut for the first time. Then I came out and everyone picked on me for years I knew how releasing it was and I did it again and again hoping maybe the next cut would make me good enough." I admitted solemnly as he rolled up his sleeve. My jaw dropped seeing the same kind of white lines scattered across his wrist.
"Everytime I wanted to tell you how I felt. You know angels weren't meant to walk earth they were made for heaven. Angels do this to try to find a way back to heaven. But if you have a one and only someone to hold you instead of the blades grip an angel will survive. My mother told me that before she, well, before she killed herself. She showed me her own scars or marks of an angels curse. Luke I'll hold you if you hold me." He whispered gently pulling my wrist to his lips and kissing the scars. I looked up to him and kissed him with every ounce of love I had. He is truly the angel I need.
