Chapter three:

The shrill noise of my ringtone cuts the silence and makes me jump up, alarmed. I peer at the number from where I am sitting and my breath instantly hitches.

The name:

MR.NOT-SO-NICE-ANGEL is plastered on the screen and I reach for it, my hands trembling.

I hold the phone to my ear, chewing on my bottom lip.

'April.' Aiden's voice echoes into my ear, rich and thick yet soft and gentle. My body shivers in delight and I try to make myself feel calm.

'Aiden.' I reply. 'Are you okay?'

'Fine,' He answers and I hear him sigh. 'Listen, I know you don't like spending time with people...'

'Right.' I interject and when he doesn't say anything, I apologise.

'But I really need you to meet up with me because I need to tell you something.' He utters, waiting patiently for my answer.

'Err...well if you really...um...if you need me then I'll come.' I stammer, pulling a piece of hair from my face. 'Where?'

'Well, it's raining heavily today, again, so I decided if you wanted to hang out at mine.'

'At yours?' I gulp, terrified. 'I don't think I want to be alone, in a house with you.'

'My mum's gonna be home.' He scoffs, and I exhale.

'Well, I guess so,' I give in, and I hear him chuckle from the other side. After he kindly explains where his address is, he hangs up.

I bounce off my bed, almost immediately, and spring into my closet, raking through my outfits and I pick out black jeans that go with a grey jumper and grey vans. The jumper wasn't mine, it was Ashley's, but I hope she doesn't notice while it's away. I've never seen her wear it anyway.
