Lisa and I were in the elevator, both of us quiet, the only sound in the elevator was the noise of it working. A calm atmosphere filled the elevator.
Soon we reached the top floor and the door of the elevator opens. We were already inside the room. It had two big bookshelves, a couch next to the elevators door, a dirty white carpet in the middle of the room, a rectangular table in front of the carpet, a little flower vase on the table and a swivel chair that was with its back turned to us.
We entered the room, and, as soon as we did this, the chair turned its front to us. Revealing the man who contracted us.
He had black hair, dark brown eyes that were in middle of warm and cold. He was wearing formal clothes, as expected.
"You came faster than what I expected." He said, his hands pressed together and his look fixed on the table in front of him.
"You contracted us for a reason." Lisa said, looking to the man. "You want someone dead, and we're the bests to do it."
"Yes, you're right." He takes a deep breath. "Well, straight to the point..." He puts two photos on the table, I sit on the chair across him and, carefully, take the photos, giving one to Lisa.
"They are the biggest businesswomen in the world." He pauses, he looked a bit nervous and anxious. "I need them dead."
"The basic information, please." I say, my voice calm and cold.
"Sure, hm..." He glances at my photo. "Kim Jisoo, 24 years old, Korean, has a cold heart and can be harsh sometimes, but is friendly."
"What about my target?" Lisa said, always impatient.
"Calm down, Lisa. Let him take his time."
He sigh and glances at the photo Lisa was holding. "Park Chaeyoung, 22 years old, Australian, has a big heart and is a very friendly and kind person. Thats all you need for the beginning."
Lisa and I stayed quiet for a moment, just staring at him. I noticed he started to become tense, but didn't dare to say a word.
The silence in the room was good, but the atmosphere wasn't. It was a tense atmosphere, filled with anxious. I decided to break to silence and spread the tense atmosphere away after a few seconds.
"The contract isn't sealed yet. We need to know how much you'll pay for us to kill them."
"Oh, yes, what do you think about 500 million?"
"There are people that can offer more." Lisa said.
"Fine." He pauses and sigh. "What about 1 billion?"
I looked to Lisa at the same time she looked to me. Her eyes were warm and bright as the sun light. Her pale skin, that looked like it had toched the sun light just a few times. And, of course, her bangs, it didn't made her any less beautiful, but just the opposite.
She didn't need to say it, I could read her like an open book, I knew exactly what she wanted to say.
I looked to the man again, puting my elbows on the table and leaning on it.
"5 billion, and we have a contract."
He leans against his chair, probably thinking, but it took just a few seconds for him to answer.
"Fine, 5 billion for you to kill them."
I smile a little. "It was a pleasure to make this contract with you."
He just nod, and, with that, we left the room. As the doors of the elevator closes, Lisa turn to me.
"You read me, didn't you?"
"Yes, I did, why?" I knew exactly why she asked it, but pretending is the best way to know someone, even though I already know her a lot.
"You know I hate when you do it."
"Yeah, I know, sorry, but I was going to accept the 1 billion offer, so thank me later."
"This is never going to happen."
I let out a quick chuckle "I know."
