~DINAH JANE~
Just like Normani said, she didn't run. When she first said it I thought she was all talk but ever since her return she hadn't left my side for more than an hour. I tried and tried to get her to go do whatever it is that she does as a singer but she refused. She was definitely proving herself but it's not like she had to. I was already head over heels for the singer and forgave her nearly soon as she returned. Call me stupid but it's not really like I had a choice.'You're a sore loser' I told the shorter girl.
She frowned with her arms crossed 'am not, I just don't get how you cheat at go fish.'
I gasped mockingly ' I did not! You just suck.' I argued back while I thumped her head.
She rolled her eyes 'yeah whatever at least I know how to play more than one card game.'
'well I'd rather know how to play one game and be good at it then know how to play fifteen and suck at them.' I defended while I put the cards back in the pack.
With a roll of her eyes Normani mumbled a swift 'screw you' as usual.
I smirked at the opportunity to tease her 'maybe some day.'
Normani began to sputter attempting to form a sentence before settling with a simple shut up as a response.
It had been about two and a half weeks since the attack and I was definitely approving physically, mentally? Not so much. I attempted to just push the ordeal to the back of my mind and forget about it for at least a few hours which worked for the most part. But it was getting increasingly difficult with the building case.
They had caught the supposed purps and were holding them all on an drug possession charge while they built a case. I would be getting out the hospital in a couple days if everything went right and I would have to go straight to the police station to officially identify the criminals. Officer Bullock had brought pictures of all the captured men and they were indeed them from what I could remember of the blurry night.
'Hey I'm gonna get ready to head out' the brunette announced as she exited the attached bathroom dressed in a different set of clothes.
At first I had to go through hell to get her to leave the hospital for anything even to go get a change of clothes but lately she had been getting better with leaving when she absolutely had to.
'Okay have fun doing whatever it is that you do at clam.'
Normani let out the most heartwarming chuckle 'Dinah Jane for the fifteen time it's glam' she emphasized. 'And you sit there while people do your hair, nails, makeup, and a bunch of other stuff.'
'Sounds uncomfortable' I shrugged slightly.
She nodded 'it is especially since I'm extremely tender headed but you get used to it.'
I continued to watch Normani run around the room putting all her things in overnight bag when her phone began to vibrate. She quickly glanced over at it 'that's Rob he said the drivers' here.'
I nodded not quite wanting her to leave since I had become accustomed to spending majority of the day with her but it was only 8 a.m. and she was getting ready to leave me already but I completely understood her prior obligations.
Normani set her bag by the door before approaching the bed. 'I'm gonna miss you' she spoke while she lent down.
'I'm gonna miss you more' I replied my eyes glancing down to her lips that were dangerously close to my own. I could hear my heart rate machine pick up but I desperately hoped that she didn't notice but I doubt that she would, everything sounded like background noise in this moment.
