The apartment it cold and dark when I unjam my key from the lock. Cheyenne had left a note on the counter.

I'm going to stay for overtime -c

She loved her new job as an ambulance driver. I set my stuff on the ground before going to pick through whatever is in the refrigerator. The hazy yellow glow dances on my face which strains my eyes. Only butter and the pizza box from the other night are there.

We really need to go grocery shopping this weekend.

I grab the square box from the cool shelf and open it up to grab two slices. The box is placed back where it was originally placed while I bite into the cold piece of pizza. I decide to heat it up after a few bites. The microwave sounds like the television at 100. The beep is worse and I snatch it open as soon as I can.

They really need a night time mode on those things.

After I finish my dinner, I go to my bedroom. My purple sheets are perfectly made up from this morning. I always make my bed because even on lazy days at least I can say that I made my bed.

I strip from my work clothes like a shedding snake. The silence of deafening so I grab my small phone and play some music. Prancing around in my underwear to the music, I go to my closet to pick out my clothes for the next day. It saves me time and lets me sleep in more which is always a plus.

I choose a pair of leggings with a grey sweater that swooped low in the back. Soon my body aches for sleep. I made my way to the bathroom to remove my make up. The wipes smell like vanilla but leave my face feeling gross. Opening the cabinet, I grab my face wash and rub it into my skin until it's all bubbly. Then water takes it all away leaving me feeling clean. I take the small figure eight shaped container that held my contacts for the night as I replaced them with the big nerd glasses that I despise. Throwing up my short hair into a tiny bun completes my night routine which allows me to go to sleep now.

My bare feet hit the cold wood floor on the way to my bedroom. My body rejoicing as it burrows into the sheets. Completely satisfied with sleep taking over for the night.

I wake to my alarm again. I already hate waking up but to be at work at 4:50 I have to be up at 3:30. Ugh.

I pull myself out of bed and try to motivate myself to move. There's no use. I get up anyway and make the bed to perfection before gathering my clothes for today. Cheyenne must have gotten back only a few hours ago because she was passed out on the couch still in her uniform. I had to take a picture even though I knew she would want to kill me later.

I quickly cover her up with a blanket before getting into the shower. The water wakes me up nicely. I sling the shower curtain open to reach for my towel as I pat myself dry.

The hot air from the hairdryer caresses my neck which tickles as I tame the waves. I dress in the outfit I picked out last night before going to the kitchen and starting the coffee maker.

Leaving it to do it's thing then getting my shoes on. I pour the finished product into a thermos then grabbing my bag and walking out the door. Before leaving I lock the door.

The cool morning air has an underlying hint of winter in its tone. A smile graced my lips as I take a drink of the hot cocoa out of my thermos. Chey hates that I use the coffee maker for cocoa instead of coffee, but she's a coffee addict so...
