It took a bit of research for me to get everything as accurate as possible. History has never been my strong suit nor has research, but it was fun finding everything I needed.

This short story was inspired by the picture from the cover, which I found on Google. I also used Google to look for ancient Greek words, which I used for the titles for the chapters. Included below are their meanings; I'm sure you'll find the connections to the story and appreciate my cleverness.

DOGMA
"Dogma means an established belief or a set of principles that a religion follows. In some cases, it is also the ideology of an organisation. It is often described as authoritative and an undisputable thought. The term often carries a negative connotation because it does not sound good at all."

ETHOS
"Roughly translated ethos means a different mindset or a specific trait that a person in a different culture is accustomed to. A synonym for it is mentality or values. Ethos is the word you use to call the difference between the two worlds."

FILOTIMO
"One of the most complicated Greek words to translate, Filotimo means putting others before yourself. Add to that a hint of courage, honour and selflessness; you will end up with a word for chivalry. Doing something with filotimo means, you are doing something honourable and for the greater good."

Cover art was possible by image found on Google and Photoshop Express used as an editing media for title.

This is a fanfiction written purely for enjoyment. If you don't prefer this kind of writing, don't let the door hit you on your way out.

As always, I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it.

For my idol

This story, I dedicate to my French teacher of two years before she received a better opportunity to teach linguistics for the college of her dreams. Madame, you always taught me that learning a different language was like finding a lover. You have to be patient, tender, and open to change.
