Alucard really hates being treated like a child. He hates it more than Zurn hating, well, just about everything, and that boy can hate fairly strongly. Most people Alucard interacts with don't treat him like a child, but his Father, Cobra, does. Normally he wouldn't care, but when he's trying to learn how to fight he notices this a lot more, and when he complains, Cobra would always say the same thing.

"You may look like a young adult, but you have only been alive for a few years, and act exactly like a child." His voice as cold as stone and stern, like it always is. Alucard would simply roll his eyes in response and ready himself again.

Somehow today was different. He noticed Cobra treating him, and his 'brothers,' like full-fledged adults. Has our peace treaty been broken? He thought to himself. Allocco looks at him and shakes his head.

He groans and glares at his nosey brother. But in the process, Cobra's training stick whacked him, causing him to lose balance, the same happening to Allocco.

"Both of you pay attention, today's lesson is extremely important." He looks at Alucard, "I want to see you afterward."

"Oh come on! He distracted me!" He says, glaring at his brother as he rises.

"No arguing." He growls out, causing Alucard to agree to it.

The rest of their training went as it usually did, full of complaining about how often they were 'killed' and Cobra calmly explaining his reasoning each time. Zurn and Allocco leave after Aeriona heals them both. Alucard stays behind and leans against the wall after he puts away his new blade. Cobra locks the entrances and exits to the room and motions for Alucard to sit in a chair.

"Please, sit. I have something crucial for you, and you alone." He emphasizes.

Alucard sits in his chair and crosses his arms. "Why do I have to do this alone? I thought it was too dangerous to go alone." This causes Cobra to pause, clearly choosing his words carefully.

"You will not be alone for long. I want you to go find you..." He trails off for a moment. "Your other brother. He has been living with his mother and his twin sister for the past few years."

"Okay, but why can't you do it? You're the adult here, and people actually like you. You know if I go out there I'll be killed." He slams his hand down on the table.

"Calm down child." He sighs, reaching out to steady the table. "I will be waiting for you to tell me where he is." He hands Alucard a strange device. "This works like a GPS, it tells me where you are. When you've found him, press the red button and I'll be there as soon as possible." Alucard watches his creator as he stands and walks to the door.

"You should ready yourself and leave as soon as possible. He was taken about thirty minutes ago, and if you wait, he will die." Alucard nods in response, and Cobra leaves.

Not long after their encounter, Alucard is standing in the storage room. His hand hovers above the handle to the door leading outside. Come on, he thinks to himself, you can do this, just open the damn door and walk outside. He takes a deep breath and opens the door quickly.

He feels a rush of frozen air on his face, as well as a thud. He looks around to find Zurn on the ground, swearing at him.

"Don't open the door like that yo-"

"Maybe you shouldn't stand in front of it." He cut his brother off. This causes Zurn to growl and stand, brushing himself off.

"I'm coming with you, you know what's out there." He crosses his arms, clearly, his mind was made up.

Alucard sighs and pushes past his brother, "No you're not, you're not ready for this."

"And you are?!" He yells, following close behind. "Cobra is sending you to your death! Can't you see that?!"

"And why can't you just trust him for once? He isn't the bad guy here." He stops and turns to his brother, already exhausted by their argument. "Look, I'll be back, so go back inside and yell at him instead. I won't let you get hurt again."

"Well..." He trails off, "Fine, but if you're hurt I'll hurt him."

Alucard smiles and hugs his shorter brother, "Thank you, and I promise I'll come back safe."

"You better" He squirms out of Alucard's arms and walks back inside.

Alucard doesn't move until he hears the lock click. He then turns and starts running North. The farther he is from his home, the more nervous he is. He's never left home before, and he knows he's still young enough to be killed off easily. He slows down to a brisk pace and tries to pull those thoughts out of his mind.

"You're going to be okay. Just keep out of sight, and find Heilhiem." He calms himself down and focuses on his surroundings. He hears roaring to his right, making him glad he slowed down. He steps off the trail and into the brush as quietly as possible. He decides this is better for his safety and continues North, though much slower now.

After a few minutes, he suddenly stops, hearing a large family right in front of them. He sniffs the air. Descendants of Furtfur he concludes. This kind usually isn't hostile, unless-

A couple of children run mere feet in front of him. Great, he thinks, I have to move now. He slowly crawls back, keeping his senses honed into the group in front of him. He stops when he hears a crack from under him. He curses at himself as a woman's voice rings out.

"Who is there?! Show yourself!" He stays still as he hears the footsteps running away from his direction and towards the voice. They begin talking amongst themselves.

"Come out, and we may not hurt you!" The woman yells again. He hears footsteps closing in on him. He sighs and stands, his hands up.

"I am not here to hu-"

"Cobra's creation?! Why are you outside?" She asks the other men and women by her side growl and sneers at him.

"I was sent on a mission. I am not here to hurt you or your kind. I didn't even know you were here until I hear you all." His face is blank.

"What mission? Why should we let you go?" They begin to surround him.

"Because if you don't Cobra will come and kill you all." He shrugs and drops his arms, knowing what's coming next.
