The rain was slapping against the ground as Jungkook hurriedly tried to get home. He had forgotten his umbrella without a second thought of it raining. He looked at his feet below him as they yearned for warmth and shelter. The small jacket that was placed around his shoulders stuck to him like glue and his shoes had puddles big enough for fish to swim in them. His footsteps were quick and loud against the wet street and his fists were placed carefully in the pockets of his jacket. The streets were quiet as everyone around him searched for some sort of warmth, just like him. He had been focusing so hard on the ground below him that he almost didn't realize the other person who had been walking in the opposite direction of him. He looked up for a second before their shoulders collided and were left with a mix of bright colors. The world around them seemed to be a mix of purple, green, orange and some other unrecognizable colors. He met eyes with the person who he had run into and immediately felt as if all of the stars of the night sky were occupying the person in front of him's eyes. Jungkook's mind was a mess as he tried to comprehend what was happening. He wanted to know why his heart was beating so fast, why he felt so attached to this person, why there were so many colors, and why he wasn't even a little bit mad at this person for making them both stand in the freezing rain. "I'm sorry," were the only words that Jungkook was able to get from out of his mouth. "No, that was my fault. Are you alright?" Why was his voice so relaxing? Why did he feel so drawn to him? "I think so. D-did you see the colors?" Jungkook immediately looked towards the ground as he waited for them to answer. He fumbled with the zipper of his jacket as he waited and waited, but the answer never came. Jungkook looked up to meet the eyes of a now scared man. "I-i'm sorry if I offended or scared you. Can I buy you a drink or something?" Jungkook felt the heat rush to his cheeks as he tried to make up for what he thought was a mistake. "Um, it's alright. But yeah, I saw them too." Jungkook looked up only to be met with him looking towards the ground. "I-i'm Jungkook." "Namjoon." Why was his name so pretty? "A-are you sure that there isn't anything that I can do for you? I feel bad for running into you." Jungkook wishes that he would stop talking but at the same time, he wanted to talk to Namjoon. "There's a coffee shop nearby if you want to go there? They have really good muffins." Jungkook nodded and walked besides Namjoon as they made their way down the street. The two had forgotten about that rain at some point and got lost in random conversation. The way that Jungkook felt towards Namjoon was indescribable as he felt as if everything was clearer. Was it because of the light? He had only heard of things like this in movies unless people just never talked about it. Jungkook wondered if Namjoon felt the same way or if it was just one-sided. He wanted to know if the colors affected him and if Namjoon has seen similar movies to this. He wanted to ask millions of questions but whenever he got the chance he felt tongue-tied. Why was everything so hard? "Jungkook?" Suddenly his attention went from the small space in the back of his mind to the tall man that was sitting in front of him. "Yeah?" "Are you ready to go? The rain seems to be clearing up and it's getting kind of late." Jungkook didn't want to say goodbye yet though. "Yeah, you're right. Thank you." The two got up from their table and walked outside of the cafe. It was only sprinkling now, but it still felt heavy to Jungkook. "Can I ask you something?" Jungkook turned to Namjoon as he awaited an answer. "Sure." He took a deep breath before asking, "Um, do you feel any different after seeing the colors?" Heat immediately rushed to Jungkook's cheeks as he tried to make this situation a little less awkward. "I do, but I don't know." He made eye contact with the other, "What?" "It's a story for another time." Jungkook tried to stop himself from showing any sign of being upset but apparently, it didn't work because a split second later Namjoon said, "But I can give you my number and we can maybe take things slow. I just need time." Jungkook immediately smiled, "Yeah, of course. Here." The two put their numbers in each other's phones and then went their split ways for the night.

A/N: Hi!! I hope that you enjoyed this one-shot. It took a little bit to write but it was an interesting experience. I first wrote this on Twitter because of a challenge, but I decided to put it on here too. The Twitter challenge was from a post that said to shuffle your music playlist and write a prompt based off of the first song that comes on. Mine was I Fall in Love Too Easily by Caleb Belkin and thus I came up with the idea for a quick Namkook soulmate AU. I wrote the whole thing in thirty minutes and then posted it on twitter. The song meant a lot to me so it was nice to finally put some meaning to it from a different perspective. There are some hidden meanings within the writing, but I'll leave that for you to figure out. I left the ending open for a reason so that others could make the story end how they want it to. I'm not going to write anymore for it, but thank you!! I hope you enjoyed reading it. Thank you!!
