Their final exam is finally over. They have a-week break before semester two coming so they must try their best to spend their break worthy. While some already planned even before the exam.
"Chaeng-ah! Don't go to work yet!" Jisoo holds into Chaeyoung's arm
"Wae?" Chaeyoung raises her eyebrow
"We just finished our exam and let's hang out around her first to talk." Baekhyun answers
"We also want to go there but after this talk." Junmyeon adds
"And then, let's talk at his café!" Chaeyoung gives a surprised look. They all are clingy to her today. Suddenly, Junmyeon looks at his phone screen and types something.
"Gaja! Let's talk there then." Junmyeon calls everyone and they all go there together.
They all walk to the Café Universe. When they reach the door, Junmyeon suddenly covers Chaeyoung eyes, Baekhyung opens the door, and Jisoo holds Chaeyoung's hands
"Yah! Jun! What are you doing?" Chaeyoung exclaim. WTF is this!
"Yah! Just follow my lead." Jisoo says as she holds Chaeyoung's hand and they all walk in a step by step. Jumyeon releases her eyes and Jisoo says "Surprise!!!" She moves from the block of view. The shop is decorated by balloon and a banner says 'Happy Birthday, Our Chaeyoung!' in front of her. Suddenly, someone was holding a cake from the kitchen and they all sing "Saeng il chuk ha ham ni da - Saeng il chuk ha ham ni da - sarang ha neun Chaeyoungie - saeng il chuk ha ham ni da!!! Woo!!"
Chaeyoung covers her mouth and looks very surprised. Chanyeol is holding the cake for her while Sehun and Minseok are behind him. Jisoo, Junmyeon, and Baekhyun are behind Chaeyoung. They all sing her the birthday song and clap for her.
"Omo! I forget that today is my birthday already and you guys remember it!"
"Stupid! How can we forget it although we were occupied with the exam?" Jisoo pushed shoulder gently
"Make a wish and blow the candles. They are melting." Minseok asks Chaeyoung so that she closes her eyes and make a wish. They don't know what she wishes but she does smile. She blows the candles so everyone claps for her
"Gamsahamnida, everyone!" She bows to everyone. Chanyeol cannot stop his smile looking at this adorable.
Minseok decided to close his shop today to hold Chaeyoung's birthday party. What an adorable boss! They are eating food and laugh together. Party is over so they all help cleaning up together. It's still 7 pm but they parted their way home. Chaeyoung and Chanyeol walk home together again.
"How was your exam?" Chanyeol asks to break the silence and looks at her
"Not bad. You?" Chaeyoung smiles and looks at him back
"I guess so." Chanyeol adds "Anyway, your sister texted me to say happy birthday to you." Chanyeol is scared that she might be mad and avoid him again but turn out that she smiles and nods back
"Tell her that I'm thankful and sorry that I said some harsh words to her at that time." Chanyeol finally smiles back as a relief. She doesn't look cruel to her sister anymore!
"I'll tell her about it."
They arrive at Chaeyoung's house but they decide to sit at the brunch in front of her house to talk further.
"You already know my past, right?" Chaeyoung finally asks him that. He nods and winks. "Don't you feel disgusting on me? I was almost done dirty." Chaeyoung looks at his eyes without a blink. Chanyeol grabs her both hands and talks
"Chaeng, I never feel that way! Why did you think like that? I, even more, feel guilty that I forced you to face your sister without knowing the story. Chaeng, they are all past and what we should focus on is now that you are in front of me." Chaeyoung remains silent looking at him
"Even after all these times I ignored you?"
"It's fine, Chaeng. I think you need some times."
"But I'm still not sure about my feeling yet and it might hurt you and our friendship." Chanyeol shakes his head
"Ani!" He takes a deep breath before continuing "Chaeng, can you at least give a try? I know you cannot love me right away but we can try seeing each other first. Then, it depends on you." Chaeyoung sighs
"I'm afraid I end up hurting you instead."
"It's fine if you still cannot develop a feeling for me. Then, I'll let you go and be normal friends." Chaeyoung remains silent "So, what are you saying?" Chanyeol wants to clear up with her by today so that they won't be awkward like they used
"Well, I think I will give a chance to try if it works out."
"Wooo!!" Chanyeol stands up and raises his both arm like winning a lottery. He suddenly hugs Chaeyoung "Gomabweo, Chaeng!" She hugs him back and pats his back. She also feels happy with him around but she is just not sure what her true feeling is so she must try out first.
Chanyeol flashbacks to what Jisoo talked to him today when they called him to her birthday "Chanyeol-ah! Chaeng had her bad memory on her birthday so that she keeps forgetting her birthday. We are trying to create new and good memories on her birthday instead of the dark old one. I hope you understand."
Chanyeol smiles ear to ear as she officially accepts him... Even she said she tries but he is happy enough already. Same as Chaenyoung! She made good memories today and forget the old one that it actually happened on her birthday with her friends' and Chanyeol's helps. She is so lucky to have them!!!
