As more teasers were released online, designers immersed themselves in crafting additional pieces for the collection, the rhythmic sound of sewing machines echoing through various workspaces.
Meanwhile, the auditorium at HK's Apparel was packed with reporters eager for a scoop, fingers hovering over their laptops while cameras remained strategically positioned to capture every moment.
A hushed murmur of anticipation buzzed through the crowd, the atmosphere thick with tension as everyone waited for the press conference to begin.
When Seungmin finally entered, accompanied by his lawyer, Bang Chan, and a few members of the PR team, all eyes turned toward him, drawn to the determined look on his face and the unwavering intensity in his gaze.
The newly appointed CEO adjusted the microphone, letting the silence settle before he spoke.
"Thank you for attending today." He began, his voice echoing through the hall.
"The past months have been challenging for me, HK's Apparel, and everyone associated with our company, because I have been accused of ramping, wash trading, and embezzlement."
The audience leaned in as he paused, letting the gravity of his words sink in.
Seungmin looked directly at the crowd, his eyes unwavering.
"These allegations are completely baseless. Each article has been deliberately fabricated to damage my reputation and undermine the integrity of this company. They are nothing but lies posted by an anonymous user."
The constant clatter of keyboards and the click of cameras filled the auditorium, but Seungmin remained focused.
"At HK's Apparel, we have always adhered to strict ethical standards and a transparent approach to our business. We do not engage in any form of manipulation-financial, ethical, or any other kind. Our company's values are built on trust, both with our clients and with our employees, and I refuse to allow baseless rumors to discredit the principles we have worked so hard to uphold."
Seungmin paused for a while, glancing at Bang Chan, who nodded in silent agreement.
"Due to the severity of these accusations and their potential impact on our business and employees, we are taking serious action. Starting today, I have instructed my legal team to conduct a thorough investigation and file a defamation lawsuit against those responsible for this malicious assault."
Every word he uttered brimmed with fury, resonating deeply with the reporters in the room.
"We will expose the individual or groups behind this scheme and hold them accountable to the fullest extent of the law. This isn't just about clearing my name; it's about protecting the integrity of HK's Apparel and ensuring that those who thrive on dishonesty face the consequences of their actions."
With a final look at the crowd, he took a step back, signaling that the statement was over.
