" You want a drink?" I asked Leo.

" Like lemonade?" the turtle asked creasing his eyebrows together. I put my hand on the guys shoulder to stop myself from falling over laughing.

" No. I mean like a beer" I smiled at him, he's adorable.

" Oh...yeah..yeah, beers great!" he said putting on a deep confident voice at the end.

" You don't have to...I mean if you don't drink, I'm not gonna judge" I said to him.

" Really?"

" No, if you don't drink, you are a pussy" I dead panned.

" Oh.. I do drink, it just...my mum..she uh-"

" If you drink she will smell the alcohol on you like a puma" interrupted him.

" You've met my mum?" he asked sounding confused to my obviously accurate answer.

" No, my mum is the same, it's one of the things on the long list of reasons I moved out" I explained.

" So you have your own place?" Leo asked.

" Yeah, I had to get away from my mum, she was so controlling over me. I only came to this party because she tried to convince me take my sister trick or treating, I needed an excuse not to go" I told him.

" So are you hating this shit party as much as I am?" he looked at me and asked.

" Am I that bad?" I asked scrunching up my nose.

" Well you.. you are pretty great, but the rest of this is shit" he smiled, cute. I smiled back at him.

" surely being dressed as a kick ass ninja turtle must be fun" I smirked.

" I'm never going to live this down, no one will ever forget this" ninja turtle said shaking his head.

" Well, I'll get us some beers, then we can try to forget everything about life, because that is the beauty of alcohol" I said confidently and stood up, I walked away before he could say anything to stop me.

Once I was inside I grabbed two beers and was about to walk outside when I noticed someone. Wow I never thought I'd have to look at that dick head ever again, but yet here he is at this party dressed as fucking batman.

Why must ex boyfriends ruin everything? Even batman.

I think he notices me because he starts to walk in my direction, ah fuck one of the most dreaded activities in life, conversation with the ex. I have nothing nice to say to the cheating scum.

" Hello" he smiled cheekily at me.

" What do you want Josh?" I spat.

" Woah, I didn't recognize you with all that horrid makeup" he exclaimed.

" And I barely recognized you with that mask covering up the dick on your head" I sassed back and walked away with the two beers. Just when you think this party couldn't get any worse. I'm not the kind of person to let the past effect me, so forgetting about him was pretty easy, until he just kept showing up everywhere. I went back outside to sit with my new friend.

" Hi" ninja turtle smiled as I sat back down next to him.

" This party officially just got really shit" I sighed.

" What happened?" he asked.

" Nothing, ex boyfriend crap" I mumbled. " here" I said changing the subject and handing him a beer.

" Thanks, but I have a puma mum remember, I wouldn't even be surprised if she is in that tree with a pair of binoculars watching us" he said pointing at the big tree in the corner of the backyard.

" Come on, live a little" I smiled at him, he at me and a small smile formed on his lips.

" That's peer pressure you know" he smirked.

" Yeah, but isn't peer pressure the only way you discover great things, you were too scared to discover for yourself?" I said feeling wise.

" Or an easy way to get into a lot of trouble and be able to blame others for making you do it" Leonardo pointed out.

" I'm not making you do anything, I'm just strongly suggesting you do what you want and live your life. If you want something, just do it. If you want to have a drink? have a beer. Wanna get high? smoke some weed. Want to get a headache? drink to much the night before. Want to kiss someone? just grab their face and kiss them" I said after taking a big sip of beer.

" Sorry that was a lot of rambling" I apologized after realizing how much talking I just did.

" It's fine, you are right" he said " if I want something I should just go for it" he nodded.

" Yes, that's the attitude" I smiled and handed him the beer, and he took a big sip.

" My god, there is a tree house in that tree and I think I see a woman up there with binoculars!" I exclaimed, the ninja turtle spat out his drink and I burst into laughter.

" I'm kidding!" I laughed, the ninja turtle started laughing aswell and took another sip of beer, I smiled and took another drink as well.

" Come on" I said grabbing the guys hand and pulling him to stand with me, we left our beers on the ground.

" Where are we going?" he asked as I dragged him along.
