- Danny -

The next morning, I got ready for school like any other day. I went downstairs for breakfast and served myself a bowl of cereal. My family was already in the kitchen, so I got here last.

"So Danny," my mom started,"I heard that a new family just moved in next door."

"Oh, yeah. I helped them bring their stuff in." I replied. "Turns out, one of them are familiar with Sam."

"That's great!" Exclaimed my dad. "We can tell them all about ghosts and ghost hunting!" Ah, geez.

After finishing my bowl, I headed off for school. I looked back at my neighbors' home. I hope my parents don't scare them off. I met with my friends in front of the school and went straight to class.

"So, Danny, what did you say was weird yesterday?" Tucker asked.

"Oh, right!" I recalled. "Yesterday, when I was saying goodbye to everyone, I got to (Name) and my ghost sense went off. But, they weren't a threat."

"Wait. You can sense when a ghost opposes a threat?" Sam raises a brow.

"Yeah, it was kinda new. And at the same time, (Name) shivered almost violently. Her hands were as cold as ice!"

"Oh, that's normal for her." Sam brushed it off. "When we were younger, she always had a cold temperature. Constantly shivering and all that."

We walk into class and took our separate seats. Mr. Lancer comes in and I feel my ghost sense go off, again?

"Good morning, everyone." Greeted Mr. Lancer. "Before we start class, I would like to introduce a new student..."

- You (an hour or so before) -

I had everything ready for my first day and I was a reck. I hardly got any sleep from sleeping in a sleeping bag on the floor: my back was stiff. I took a nice warm shower to relive my sore back, but it didn't do much. I dress in some comfortable clothes, brushed my teeth, fixed my hair, and grabbed my bag for my leave. Waltzing into the kitchen, I could smell the wonderful scent of fresh crêpes with (favorite topping).

"Good morning, baby!" My mom greeted, setting down a plate for me.

"Mornin', Ma." I yawned, giving a weak, tired smile.

"Couldn't sleep well, I assume?"

"Noooo...." I moaned, followed by another yawn.

"Do you want some warm Chai tea?"

"Yes, please."

Not longer after, my brother and sister came by too. Before I could leave, my mom insisted that I put on makeup to cover my scars. As much as I hate to admit it, I agreed with it. I didn't like wearing make up, but this was my first day. I don't want to go through the entire morning to early afternoon answering questions about my scars.

My dad had already left before we'd woken up so no one could drive Everly and I to school. Best thing to do is walk, ugh. I dropped off Everly at her school and continued towards mine.

I walk through the doors and the long hallways of Casper High. Everyone seemed to be staring at me until I bumped into someone. He was tall and muscular, with blond, military cut hair. His eye were faded blue that gave me a uneasy feeling.

It was clear he was a jock. He looked like he was gonna blow a fuse but when he saw me behind him, his dark look soften, and curve a wicked smirk. He didn't seem to notice the faint marks of scars under my makeup.

"Well, hello there~" he leaned in.

His voice was incredibly squeaky and unexpected. It took all my will power to not show amusement.

"What can I do for you, babe?" He swooned. Um, eeeewwwww!

Keep it together, (Name). "Could you tell me where the principal's office is? I'm new."

"Sure thing! follow me, sweetheart~"

"I appreciate the compliment, but please, call me (Name)."

"Whatever you say, babe!"

He brought me to the principal's office and I was able to get my schedule and my locker number. I found my first class pretty well. There was an overweight teacher waiting in front of the door. I believe he was looking for me; seeing how his eyes were shifting.

"Hello?" I approached the man. "Are you Mr. Lancer?"

"Ah, you must be the new student." The man stared at me. "Yes, welcome to Casper High."

"Thank you."

"Please, stay here for a moment and I'll call you in."

I stood there listening through the open door. I then felt a chill up my spine. Either a ghost is here, or that's just Danny. "...I would like to introduce a new student. Come in."

That's my cue. I shuffled into the classroom and stood in front of the class. All the students just stared. It was unsettling.

"Hey," I waved,"I'm (Name). Don't talk to me unless it's necessary, thanks." I took a seat behind Danny, who I just realized was in the class. "Hey, neighbor." I whispered behind him.

He turned his head slightly and gave me a small wave. Maybe today, might not be so bad.

- Danny -

After the first class, my friends and I were helping (Name) to get to know the school better. We started by helping her find her locker. It was just across from mine, so there wasn't any trouble. The calming chat was going great: until Dash showed up.

"Hey, Fenturd!" He shouted at me. "I just got back my history test and found an F slapped on it!" He grabbed the collar of my shirt and raised me a few inches above ground. "And what better way to take my anger out on you than to beat the living pulp out of ya-"

"Oi!" The crowd surrounding us turn their heads to the source of that opposing voice. It was (Name). "Put him down, this instant!"

Dash stared at her in shock before smiling. "Come on, doll! You can't expect me to let this loser go."

"Oh, I'm not expecting, I'm demanding. You let my friend go right now, or the tables will turn."

"Oh yeah?" He teased, dropping me. "And what are you about it, Sweetie-"

In a blink of an eye, (Name) had Dash's face against the lockers. His arms were behind his back and in a painful lock. There was a victorious grin played on (Name) as she informed Dash.

"One, don't ever call me, doll, babe, or anything besides my name. Two, you don't run this joint anymore, I do! And from now on, I'll make sure everyone here is treated with respect! And three, I've been expelled from three different schools in other countries, and the reason why is not pretty. I have connections from each of those schools and I know for a fact that every student will be willing to take your whole reputation down with the tap of a finger. Got me?"

With a terrified voice, he asked,"who the hell are you?!"

(Name) let's loose on her grip, taking out a water bottle from her bag. She twisted the cap open and poured the water all over her face: removing the obvious makeup. Her scars start to show and everyone but my friends and I gasped.

"I, am your newest nightmare come to life~"
