Chapter 40 ● Revenge is in the aftermath of knowing their plan ○

Why would you ever doubt me of all people? Daphne is so foolish. She should know by now I will always find ways to outsmart her. I'm so thankful that Calum didn't figure out that I'm doctor Gudfeels yet. I'm also really thankful that my dad used to tutor me in hypnosis. Darren thinks to himself.

Ugh I hate Cade, Daphne and Valley so much. They just kept turing me and making me a human again like it was some kind of game. I'm not gonna let this grudge I hold against the three of the go easily. I'm gonna make them feel sorry for what they did... Calum thinks to himself.

Darren makes a phone call to Daphne again. "Hey Daph" he greets in a mocking sing song tone of voice. "What do you want Dare?!" She asks annoyed at him. "I figured out what you did to Calum" he tells her in a triumphant tone of voice. "Oh yeah, what did we do to him then?" She asks him to prove it. "You convinced Valley to turn him into a vampire and then gave him that potion that makes him a human again and repeated the process again" he replies to her. "Correct, how did you find out?" She questions him. "I have my ways. I'm not gonna tell you though. Bye" he answers and then cuts the call.

Daphne then texts Cade to meet her at her place. Cade arrives at her house a few minutes after the text. "What's up?" He asks her in a serious voice. "Well, Dare knows what we did to Calum" she replies to him. "Do you think that means Calum knows too?" He questions her. "How else would Dare figure it out?" She asks a question back for an answer. "I don't know" he answers her. "I don't either. Valley is gonna hate us more" she replies to him.

I'm not sure what to do about it... I'm not usually the one to take revenge on someone... but I feel like if I don't do anything about it they're gonna take advantage of me again... I can't let that happen... but, how do I win against two vampires and a witch? It's not an easy fight, is it? Sometimes I wish they didn't make me human again when they turned me for the second time. They wouldn't let that happen though... they want an unfair fight where I'm the powerless one while they have all the power. But I won't let them win! Calum thinks to himself.

Maybe I should help Calum? He doesn't seem to have anyone on his side who knows the three of them as well as I do. I've basically known all of them all my life; not Valley since she's a lot younger than me but Cade, Daphne and I basically grew up together. I met Daphne when we were around four years old. Cade he's my elder brother I've known him since I was born. I know their tactics well; I know the tricks they hide up their sleeves. Darren thinks to himself.

"Hey Calum" Darren greets him through his thoughts. "Hi Darren" he greets back. "I don't know what Daph and Cade did to you but I'm guessing it's bad, so I was wondering if you need help with your revenge against them?" He tells him and makes the last part like a question. "What they did was horrible, yeah sure all help for revenge is appreciated" he replies to him. "Okay, what have you thought of so far?" He questions him. "Nothing really, I'm not really sure how to do it" he answers him. "I'll set up a meeting with them and I won't tell them you're gonna be there and then when I leave the room they're in that's when you strike" he replies to him. "That's a good start I suppose, but I'm not exactly sure what to do to them" he replies to him.

"I'm gonna find out if Calum really remembers what we did" Cade tells Daphne. "I think it's pretty obvious he does, but okay you do what you want" she replies to him. "Alright, I'll let you know any new information I get from him" he replies back to her. "Thanks, I doubt he'll spill much though" she responds to him. "It's worth a shot anyway" he responds back.

"Hello" Cade greets Calum through his thoughts. "I'd rather not communicate with you right now Cade" he replies to him without greeting him back. "Why not?" He replies back to him. "Don't play dumb, you know exactly why" he responds to him. "My plan with Daphne?" He questions for confirmation. "Obviously, what else would make me mad at you?" He confirms and asks him a question. "Oh, I'm not sure" he answers. "Yeah, now can you please stop talking to me" he replies to him. "Fine, bye" he replies back to him.

"Give me a hint of what I could possibly do to Daphne and Cade for revenge?" Calum questions Darren. "Hmm... well Cade is pyrophobic, so maybe that will help you" he answers Calum through his thoughts. "I'm not gonna trigger his phobia" he replies to him. "How else are you gonna get revenge on him then?" He asks him. Calum thinks for a while. "I don't know" he replies not coming up with another way to hurt Cade. "I'll tell you what, you think about what they did to you and how you felt about what they did to you and do something just as bad" he suggests to him. "You give the worst suggestions" he replies to his suggestion, as he remembers what Valley had told him about the thing he told her about being selfish. "I can force you to believe the opposite" he replies. "Don't you dare mess with my thoughts" he replies to him. "You should have said that earlier much earlier in fact" he replies back. "How was I supposed to know you were the one making me want to continue to want to know about Valley all those years later?!" He questions him in a bit of an annoyed tone. "You know that when you don't see someone for a long time you start to forget about someone unless you were really close to them which wasn't the case with Valley, so you should have figured out something was up back then. I bet your friends did" he answers his question.

"I didn't get any new info from him" Cade tells Daphne. "I told you he wouldn't spill anything" she replies to him. "I know, I wasn't expecting him to either" he replies back. "We'll get how they managed to find out the details about the plan from either him or Darren soon" she responds to him. "I hope so" he responds back.

"Have you thought about what you're do gonna get revenge on them?" Darren asks Calum though his thoughts. "Not yet" he replies to him. "Focus on them one at a time" he replies back. "Start with Cade, then Daphne and finally Valley" he adds to his reply. "Did you make them do this so I would be mad at them and hurt them because you want them to feel pain?" He asks him. "Of course not they decided to be a part of their dumb plan themselves" he replies to him. "Okay, so why are you so eager for me to get revenge on them?" He replies and asks him a question. "It might stop them from trying to do something like that again" he answers him. "Why do you want them to stop?" He asks him. "Cause they're getting in the way of my games" he replies to him.
