Twilight Sparkle woke up to her very loud, and annoying, alarm clock. She quickly turned it off and sat up in bed. She yawned, stretching her arms out above her head. She was wearing yellow pajamas that had little pink hearts on them. She climbed out of bed and walked slowly to the kitchen, rubbing her eyes as she went. She jumped back in fright, however, when her brother seemingly appeared out of nowhere.

"Good morning Twily! You excited for your first day of school?" He asked.

"Technically, it's not the first day of school, considering I will arrive there at about 3:00 P.M.," she explained, after getting over her shock, "The first day of school is actually tomorrow." She walked past her brother and got a box of cereal out of one of the purple cupboards that were in the kitchen. (The healthy kind of cereal, by the way) Her brother simply rolled his eyes. She then answered the rest of the question by saying, "And, yes, I am excited for my first day of school, tomorrow." Emphasizing the last word as she said it. She then put the box of cereal on the white countertop and reached up to one of the higher cupboards to grab a bowl and then place it on the counter as well.

"Well I hope you have a good time on your first day at the academy. Maybe you'll make some friends while you're there!" He said giving his little sister a hug.

"I don't know if I'll even have enough time for friends!" She exclaimed. "There will be too much to learn, too many books to read, and too many tests to study for to have enough time to make friends!" She quickly escaped his hug and started to walk over and open the refrigerator in order to get milk for her cereal.

"C'mon Twily! It's a friendship academy! It might be a requirement to make friends there!" He told her, trying to convince her to consider making friends. "Just don't make any boyfriends, alright?" Twilight rolled her eyes.

"Like I said before, I don't have time for such silly things! And why would you think I would ever want a boyfriend? He would just distract me from my work. Not to mention I'm only sixteen! I shouldn't even consider having a boyfriend at all!" She said practically shouting at the end, before quickly covering her mouth. Then she sighed and got the milk out of the refrigerator. She opened the cereal box and poured some cereal into the bowl, a blank expression on her face.

"Sorry Twilight," her brother said, an apologetic look on his face. Twilight quickly looked down.

"I'm the one who should be sorry," she said softly, pausing in the middle of pouring cereal, "I'm sorry for yelling at you." She looked up at her brother, who said that he forgave her. She went back to pouring cereal, and then she poured some milk in as well. She went over to a drawer and pulled it out, revealing many neat stacks of silverware placed carefully in a box. She chose a spoon from the drawer before closing it. Then she sat at the counter and started to eat. Her brother soon joined her, though he was eating a different kind of cereal. (Still, a healthy kind.) They both ate their breakfast in silence.

"Well, I've got to go to work soon. Bye Twily." He said while putting his cereal bowl in the sink. Twilight quickly stood up and gave her brother a big hug. They hugged each other for a few seconds before her brother left.

"I guess I'll just make sure I have everything packed." Twilight said to herself. She walked down a hallway towards her room. She sighed, looking at all of the pictures that hung up on the wall. She then went into her room, made her bed, and carefully checked every suitcase and every bag that were piled around her room to make sure she packed everything she needed. Then she carefully carried each bag and suitcase, one or two at a time, out of the house and onto the front porch. She looked back at her house longingly. Then she turned around and put a brave face on. A few minutes later, a bus showed up in front of her house. It was a yellow, white, and green bus. The bus driver helped her to carry all of her stuff into the bag compartment in the side of the bus. Then she went in the bus and sat down in a seat near the front. She looked out the window, already missing her big brother. But she knew that she had to try and do well in this new school. In her old school, unfortunately, she was bullied quite a bit, or just generally ignored because everybody was jealous that she was so smart. She looked to see how many people were on the bus. There were only a few people already there. One of the people had light blue hair, with an even lighter blue streak in it. She was wearing a purple wizard hat and a cape.

"The Great And Powerful Trixie is already amazing at making friends! Trixie is so smart, she probably doesn't even need to go to this school!" The person exclaimed, who was apparently named Trixie. She flipped her hair, a smug look on her face. The bus had started moving by now, and it seemed like it was going extremely fast. Twilight was quite confused, for she thought that buses certainly should not move this fast. But before she could think anymore about it, Trixie spoke again. "The Great and Powerful Trixie will let you be friends with her because Trixie is so nice, and humble!" Twilight rolled her eyes at that statement. Trixie was definitely not humble. The bus stopped in front of a green house, and a girl, with mint green hair that had a white streak in it, stepped out. Another girl who came out of the house next door, was carrying a few bags as she went over to stand next to the other girl. This girl had pink and blue hair. They both got on the bus after putting their bags in the bag storage compartment in the side of the bus. And the bus continued on.

This is pretty much my first time writing a fan fiction. I'll try to write as much as I can. Thank you for reading!
