"It was never easy loving you
And it was even harder to
let you go"_____________________________
"Let's break up"
Her first words never failed to bewilder me, to the point that I never even flinched at them.
I continued to eat, wild guesses running through my head as I tried to encode the words she said earlier.
"Why?"
She seemed to think, her teeth caught up on her bottom pale lips as she contemplated on my words.
It's as if she just learned a new language. Still clueless about the words she's about to say.
"Just... because"
I can't help but scoff on my mind as I dug a plateful of pasta and scrumptiously ate it, even though it was now bitter on my part.
The sound of a lonesome raindrop fell on my arms, and then as if they heard my prayers, they fell down massively out of the place grey sky.
"I'm gonna call a cab for you" I whispered through myself, still unknown if she heard my words but decided to just hold her hand.
She didn't flinch nor take it out of me as she just followed me like a lost kitten.
Once I called a cab, I informed him of her address and looked at her for the last time, still thinking about her decision.
Her raven hair was sticking in all directions, her shade of brown eyes looking at me, and my pale blue eyes reflected into hers until I heard her sneeze.
"You should go now," I said plainly
"Thank you... you know it's-"
"I know"
She waved her pale bony hands as the car drove out from me, leaving the smoke in my direction.
I stood in the rain for a while, still submerging myself in my own made misery until I came back to my senses.
She's gone.
We're over.
The storm in my heart finally calmed down, and though I felt pain and regret, my real emotions couldn't be betrayed.
A smile makes its way on my face as I finally leave.
