"Happy Halloween, motherfucker!" The words echoed down the hall of the broken shell of Fairmount- the graffiti on the charred and vandalised walls seemed to be closing in on Vincent. The broken glass on the ground from the windows glinted in the golden light of the sunset- dangerous daggers poking at his worn sneakers.
Vincent was struggling to keep his breathing under control, panic creeping through his body as the bone-chilling, maniacal laughter reverberated through the abandoned hallways.

HABIT was closer than Vincent would have hoped or liked.

Taking off down the hall, beside the old medical wing, the glasses-wearing male attempted desperately to keep his footsteps as quiet as possible- however it was becoming pointless; considering the glass shards, trash and rubble on the ground made silent footsteps impossible.
"I don't want to be part of your fucking game anymore, HABIT." Vincent grumbled undrr his breath, as he moved into the medical wing and took to hiding behind the old wooden door.
HABIT was too close by, moving or attempting to run would certainly mean he'd be caught.

"Where'd ya go, little rabbit? C'mon, we got a party to crash!" HABIT called, before heaving an impatient sigh. The deafening sound of metal being scraped down the brick walls followed soon after the sigh; and Vincent could swear that his heartbeat was audible.

Could HABIT hear it?

A low whistle resounded from just outside the medical wing, alongside a darkened chuckle, "I can fuckin' see you, Vin. Predictable!" He mused, grinning from ear to ear with a vindictive manner that threatened violence, "Found ya!"

Gasping as the closet door was opened and he was brought forcibly back to reality, Vincent struggled to get his breathing back to normal as Evan, Jeff and Steph threw halloween candy and chocolates at him- pelting him in the holiday's most popular snacks, "Happy halloween, closet dweller!" Evan laughed, as Vincent gave a chuckle and covered his face as he was pelted,

"Okay, okay! Point taken! You're right, The Nightmare Before Christmas is a Halloween and Christmas movie!" The glasses-wearing wearing male agreed, before the group laughed together and made their way back into the livingroom downstairs, still clutching armfuls of the halloween snacks.
"You guys are so mean." Vincent sighed, before unwrapping a halloween chocolate and popping it into his mouth. The doorbell went simply moments later, so Evan answered the door and Lexi came bouncing in- much to Vincent's surprise and joy,

"Lex!" The male exclaimed, "I thought you were out of town!" He laughed, before wrapping his arms around her and hugging her closely. A bubbly laugh escaped the librarian's mouth as her boyfriend held her close, clearly excited to see her.
"I was out of town- but I got back this morning! A little bird told me you were holding a party- so of course I had to come!"

Evan and Steph sat on the couch, happily observing as Vincent and Lexi embraced in warm welcome.
"Get a room." Jeff grumbled in a jesting manner, earning a scoff from Evan and Vincent. Vincent retaliated by playfully flipping Jeff off and placing a kiss on Lexi's cheek.

This was going to be a great halloween.

"Okay, I got Cards Against Humanity, Vincent's provided the snacks, let's get this party started!" Evan whooped, as Lexi laughed and unzipped her backpack,
"I brought alcohol!! And also chocolate muffins!"

Jeff threw his hands in the air and grinned, "Yes! New favourite person!" He chuckled, before observing as Lexi set a bottle of Jack Daniels whiskey on the coffee table, and a bottle of spiced rum.

Good taste.

Cards agaibst humanity, alcohol, snacks, muffins and his best friends and most loved?
