I opened the window more so that he could get in.
After he managed to get inside he closed the window and turned to me.

"Shit. What happened to your face?"

Luke sighed and ran his fingers through his hair and frowned.

"You wound me." He put a hand on his heart.
"Is my face that repulsive?"

I took a step towards him.

"I'm serious Luke. Your face is all bruised."

He chuckled.
"It's nothing, I'll be fine."

I gave him a stern look.

"Sit, I'm going to get something to clean you up."

I turned around and walked towards the door.

"Sit? Am I a dog now Sky?" He chuckled again.

I turned around and glared at him.
He put his arms up in surrender.
"Fine, I'll sit. But I expect a treat for being a good boy." He winked.
I rolled my eyes and headed for the door.

I got out of the bedroom as quietly as possible and went into the bathroom to get the first aid kit. I used to get bruised a lot as a kid, playing outside with my friends, running around the house. So my mom always kept a first aid kit in the bathroom. I got older and didn't need it anymore but we always had one just in case.
I got the kit and went back into my bedroom and closed the door. I switched on the light. Luke was sitting on the edge of my bed staring out the window.
I got closer and sat beside him.

"I got the kit."

He got startled.
"What?...oh, right."

I took a piece of cloth and put a bit of alcohol on it.
I dabbed the cloth on a bruise he had on his forehead. He flinched.
I stopped.

"I'm sorry."

"It's quite alright. Go on."

I continued, he flinched again. I finished cleaning the wound on his forehead and put a bandage on it. He had another one on his lower lip and one on his left cheek.
After I cleaned his face I saw his hands.

"You've got to be kidding me."

I took one of his hands and cleaned them. After that I checked to see if he had any other wounds he didn't tell me about.
Thankfully those were the only ones.

"Okay, you have to tell me what happened."

He sighed and remained silent for a while, avoiding eye contact with me.

"Luke..."

He sighed again but was still silent. I was getting annoyed.

"Are you going to say something or are you just going to continue sighing and hoping I stop asking questions."

I was still holding his hands. I removed one of them from my grasp and ran his fingers throw his hair.

"Fine... I was in a fight."

"I gathered as much. What was the fight about?"

"Some guy has a grudge against me for something that happened three years ago."

He stopped there. I realized I wasn't going to get much out of him so I asked another question.

"Okay, all that happened, but why did you come here? What about your house?"

He shrugged. He wasn't going to tell me that either. I frowned. Everytime he got into trouble it was always like this. I'd ask him what happened and he gave me limited answers.
I got up from my bed and stepped closer towards the window. I opened it and a fresh breeze passed. I inhaled deeply and sighed. He stepped closer.

"Hey, is something the matter?"

I sighed again. He stood next to me now. I looked up at him. His eyes, then his lips the back to his eyes. We stared at each other for a moment. His hazel eyes looked troubled. A million emotions flickered across them.

"You should get some sleep."

He leaned in and planted a kiss on my forehead.

"Goodnight." He jumped out the window and with that he was gone. I stood there for a moment, staring out into the darkness. Then I closed my window and turned off the light.
I crawled into bed and the last thing on my mind was the feeling of his lips on my forehead. And with that, I fell into a deep slumber.
