ha eun, age 10 // min hee, age 12
It was just the two of us at the park. We were eating our ice cream while sitting on the swings.
"Ha eun, we should do this more often!" He smiled at me.
"I agree!! But you know how much I hate it when my brother teases me when I hang out with you..." I pouted while looking at my ice cream"
Minhee giggles quietly as he replies simply with,
"It's ok mannnn. He knows that we're best friends and plus he's really nice and cool. I know he won't do anything worse than that to hurt you. And besides, you promised me that you would never leave me. Best friends stick to each other remember?" Minhee looks at me as he tilts his head slightly to the side.
"Minhee, I never said I'd leave you. It's just really annoying when he does that to me but I guess you're right, he's still my older brother...wait, since when were you so close to him???" I raised an eyebrow at Minhee and to this he shrugged, still licking his ice cream.
"Doesn't matter. But what really matters is that we stick together ok?" Minhee says.
I nodded in response.
He holds out his pinky finger waiting for me to do the same and of course I reach out and intertwine my pinky with his.
"I promise" I say, laughing at the amount of ice cream he spilt on his shirt. "You're mum's gonna kill you"
He looks up and down. From his shirt to my amused face then after a minute of silence we both burst out in laughter...
We made a promise didn't we?
How could you just break it so easily?
