**Before you begin this chapter just know that this doesn't really have much to do with anything won't have a song but is still kinda important to the plot. I suppose it's just a short filler :)**

Teagan
"You have to eat if you want to feel better." Davne urgently says, pushing a plate of mush toward me.
I stare down with distaste at my bowl of nauseatingly yellow soup, completely numb of feeling at this point. My whole body ached from the innumerable needles and rods that'd been inserted under my skin but had been removed immediately after. Even my face was a victim of a few needles, especially the area around my eyes.
They jabbed the calming needle -as I call it- into my arm after my mental breakdown yesterday. Once again I remember nothing from then. No matter how hard I tried to remember in detail what happened yesterday my brain drew a complete blank.
Yet the aching was drowned out by other things. You know that feeling you get when you're lying in bed and suddenly remember you have homework? That's exactly the sensation I'm feeling; a sudden pull in the pit of my stomach, you know? Small things began nagging at me. Having an emotional breakdown over dropping a frozen waffle isn't normal. Not even when you're bleeding from your lady parts each month. (a.n. too much?)
I'm not sure what it is, but the voice always stops me from thinking about it too much.
You hate them... Remember this..
I frown at my still completely full bowl and clamp a hand over the ear the voice seemed to come from.
"Teagan! Sweetheart, come to my office!" My mother calls me and I push the bowl away and exit the kitchen, ignoring Davne's annoyed grunt.
The sickeningly sweet smell of peppermint assaults my nostrils as I enter her office.
"Ah, there she is." My mom smiles at me and motions to the cushioned seat in front of her desk. I slowly sit down, my eyes flickering over every surface.
"So," she starts. "As you know, The Creatures are after you for terrible reasons."
I nod, not seeing where she was going with this conversation.
"I've just been informed that they are planning to send one of their members over here to take you back."
Instead of responding, my eyes focus on her smiling face and I can't help but feel sick to my stomach at the sight of her red lips taut in a grin.
"But don't worry. We're planning to move shop tonight." She attempts to reassure me, but it doesn't work.
I nervously nibble on my bottom lip and scoot away from her desk.
"Oh, and Teagan? Remember who the bad guys really are," my mother calls to me before I shut the door and deeply breathe in the fresh air.
My stomach continues to feel funny even as I walk back to the kitchen to try to eat the flavorless food.
"Now it's gotten cold," Davne complains.
I shrug and pick up the shiny spoon laid next to the bowl and look into it, seeing an upside down pale girl staring back at me.
"It's not like it being cold will make it taste any worse." I snarkily remark, earning a glare from the grease-ball wearing a leather jacket in front of me.

So you may have noticed that Sticks and Stones sounds a whole lot like Mockingjay (which by the way was such an amazing movie) with Peeta being 'hijacked' and such and the truth is, I was somewhat inspired by the book so in honor of Mockingjay part one, Sticks and Stones will contain a few scenes that are similar to those in Mockingjay.
Have a great day!
